Manage custom code from the dashboard
WP Coder Pro is intended for adding and managing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP snippets without editing theme files. Its tabbed editor uses CodeMirror syntax highlighting and brings common code tasks into the WordPress dashboard. This can help developers test hooks and debug, marketers add tracking scripts, and designers or bloggers adjust layouts and site interactions.
Snippets can be inserted with the shortcode [wp_code id="X"], making them available for placement across supported WordPress content. The plugin also provides a Gutenberg block with live preview and custom attribute support. HTML and CSS can be previewed instantly in the backend and Gutenberg without a reload.
Code execution and performance controls
PHP snippets include flexible execution choices. A snippet can run in the admin area, on the front end, everywhere, or only where it is inserted. External libraries can also be included, including Google Fonts and CDN scripts and styles.
For front-end code management, WP Coder Pro includes CSS and JavaScript minification, JavaScript obfuscation using Dean Edwards’ Packer, and controls for loading scripts with async or defer. Test Mode allows snippets to be previewed before they are made live. Import and export tools support moving snippets and settings between sites.
Integrations and included tools
The plugin includes integrations for Google Tag Manager with user-role controls, Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Pinterest Pixel, and Google AdSense. AdSense can be disabled for selected user roles. These tools provide a dashboard-based workflow for managing common measurement, advertising, and marketing code.
Content and template controls include a Markdown Editor powered by CodeMirror. It disables Gutenberg and TinyMCE when used, replacing them with the Markdown editor. The interface can be customized by hiding unused editor tabs, and NAV comments can add inline navigation markers for faster code editing.
Administration and developer utilities
- Enable, disable, and clear the WordPress debug log.
- Display technical request information in the Admin Bar, including the template, query type, object, and body classes; this is available to administrators.
- Switch between installed themes directly from the Admin Bar.
- Use included snippets for editor, content, login, user access, media, embeds, and core-functionality changes.
- Apply options such as disabling Gutenberg, changing login redirects, enabling SVG uploads, setting default avatar ALT text, controlling lazy load, and disabling embeds.
Typical workflow
Create a snippet in the dashboard, select its code type, add the required content, and choose how and where it should run. Preview it in Test Mode when appropriate, then insert it with the Gutenberg block or shortcode. The editor tabs, execution settings, integrations, and import or export tools can be used as the project develops.
Installation
Use the standard WordPress plugin installation workflow to add WP Coder Pro to your site. Once available in the dashboard, open its code editor, create a snippet, configure its execution or insertion settings, and place it through Gutenberg or the supplied shortcode. The documentation provides the upgrade and usage reference for the plugin.
