Flexible flag displays for WordPress
SVG Flags Pro extends SVG Flags – Country Flag Blocks and Galleries with additional tools for presenting country, territory, regional, and organisation flags. It is designed for sites that need more than a simple flag image, adding linked flag cards, responsive linked grids, a searchable flag directory, flag headings, custom captions, tooltips, and deeper presentation controls.
The underlying plugin lets you add high-quality SVG flags at any scale without losing quality while keeping a fixed aspect ratio. Supported ratios are 4:3, which is the default, and 1:1 for square displays. The block editor provides a visual workflow with real-time previews, so you can select and configure flags without relying on shortcode syntax.
Build flag content visually
Choose from 271 current country, territory, regional, and organisation flags through a searchable selector. Within the editor, you can control the flag size, aspect ratio, captions, and layout. This makes the plugin suitable for country directories, international service pages, regional navigation, location lists, and pages that need a clear visual reference to multiple places or organisations.
SVG Flags includes three dynamic blocks. SVG Flag provides a lightweight CSS-rendered flag. SVG Flag Image creates an accessible image with country-name alternative text. SVG Flag Grid creates responsive multi-country galleries with up to eight columns, adjustable spacing, captions, and either square or 4:3 flags.
Pro presentation controls
SVG Flags Pro adds linked flag cards for destinations that need a more structured presentation. Responsive linked grids can organise several linked flags in a flexible gallery, while a searchable flag directory helps visitors find a particular entry. Flag headings, custom captions, and tooltips provide additional context around each display.
These features can support country-based navigation, regional collections, organisation lists, travel or location content, and other pages where flags act as visual entry points. The deeper presentation controls give you more ways to shape the appearance and information shown around each flag.
Blocks and shortcodes
You can work entirely in the block editor and preview flags in real time. Shortcodes remain available for classic-editor content and template use. A single flag can use [svg-flag flag=”gb”], an accessible image can use [svg-flag-image flag=”fr”], and a gallery can use [svg-flag-grid flags=”gb,us,ca,fr” columns=”4″ caption=”true”]. Alpha-2 codes are used for countries and territories, together with the additional regional and organisation codes included by the bundled flag-icons library.
Installation
Install SVG Flags Pro in your WordPress site, then add its blocks through the block editor or use the available shortcodes in classic-editor content and templates. Select flags with the searchable selector, configure their layout and presentation, and use the live preview to review the result as you build the page.
