Move website content into WordPress
WP Scraper Pro is a WordPress content migration tool for copying selected material from an existing website into new WordPress posts and pages. It uses a visual interface for choosing content, so the workflow does not require knowledge of CSS selectors. Enter a source URL, select the areas you want to copy, and prepare the result for publication or review.
The Pro edition extends the basic single-page workflow with tools for larger or recurring imports. Its Multiple Scrape option can scrape hundreds of pages at a time, while Auto Scraper can run imports on a set schedule. This makes the edition suitable for moving a substantial site, preparing a content collection, or repeating an import process.
Paid capabilities
- Multiple Scrape: scrape hundreds of pages at a time.
- Auto Scraper: run scraping on a set schedule.
- Content filtering: apply extra controls when importing material.
- Ad removal: remove advertisements during import.
- Upgraded URL selection: use enhanced URL selection tools for the import workflow.
Imported images are placed in the WordPress media library. The plugin can also automatically populate the featured image, title, tags, and categories from the source page. You can choose whether the result becomes a post or page and select a status such as published, draft, or pending review.
Control the imported content
During selection, you can choose multiple areas of a source page, including images. The text-and-images option removes other HTML elements while retaining supported elements such as paragraphs, divisions, tables, lists, line breaks, headings, spans, and images. With this option, CSS is not included, and links and videos are removed automatically.
Additional controls let you remove external links or add a source link to the imported content. You can select an existing category or create a new one, choose tags from the source page or add your own, and select an image from the source page or provide another featured image.
Practical uses
WP Scraper Pro can support a website migration from an older site, bulk preparation of WordPress content, or scheduled collection from a selected source. Save results as drafts when you want to review imported material before publishing, or use the available post and page settings to fit the content into an existing WordPress structure.
Installation and workflow
Install WP Scraper Pro in your WordPress site, open its visual interface, and enter the URL you want to copy. Select the content areas, configure the title, post type, status, categories, tags, images, and cleanup options, then start the import. For larger jobs, choose Multiple Scrape; for recurring work, configure Auto Scraper with a schedule.
