Build a structured sports website
SportsPress Pro is the premium edition of SportsPress – Sports Club & League Manager for WordPress. It is intended for teams, clubs, and leagues that need a configurable website for organizing sporting information and presenting it clearly to visitors. The core workflow brings schedules, results, standings, player information, staff records, and statistics into WordPress.
With SportsPress, you can create events for fixtures and results, publish event calendars, and maintain profiles for clubs, players, and staff. After results are published, league tables, team statistics, and player statistics can update automatically to reflect the new standings. This provides a practical way to keep a club or league website current as a season progresses.
Advanced Pro functionality
SportsPress Pro is positioned for serious teams that want additional sports functionality in their dashboard. The source information identifies Tournaments as an exclusive Pro module. It lets you create and display tournaments in a bracket or knockout format, giving tournament organizers a dedicated way to present progression through their competition.
The Pro edition builds on the wider SportsPress system rather than replacing it. Existing tools include an equation builder, club profiles with player lists, automated league standings with club logos, events with player performance, player lists, staff profiles, season archives, venue information and maps, and configurable statistics and league table columns.
Flexible sports data
- Use sport presets for American football, association football, Australian rules football, baseball, basketball, cricket, darts, golf, and other listed sports.
- Switch between club-versus-club and player-versus-player modes.
- Customize table columns and player statistics through SportsPress settings.
- Import events, clubs, players, and staff from CSV files.
- Add shortcodes through the editor menu.
- Integrate events with iCal.
- Use the plugin with certified WPML compatibility.
The system is designed to support most team sports with a scoring system, while presets help organizations get started with commonly requested sports. Sites can manage clubs, teams, players, staff members, leagues, and events within the same sports-focused WordPress setup. SportsPress is also described as working with any theme, although styling may be needed to match a particular design.
Practical use cases
A local club can publish fixtures, results, venues, rosters, and player statistics. A league can maintain standings, season archives, club profiles, and event calendars. A tournament organizer can use the Pro tournament module to present a bracket or knockout competition alongside the broader SportsPress records. CSV import can help move existing sports data into the site, while sport presets reduce initial configuration work.
Installation and setup
Install SportsPress in WordPress and configure the relevant sport preset, clubs, players, staff, venues, events, statistics, and table columns. Add event and profile information through the WordPress administration area, or use the available CSV importers for events, clubs, players, and staff. After the base setup is ready, activate SportsPress Pro to access its additional dashboard modules, including Tournaments, and then add the tournament information you want to display.
