A maintained block library for existing Spectra sites
Spectra Pro Legacy is part of Spectra Legacy, the continuation of the plugin previously called Spectra. It is intended for existing sites built with this block library. Existing blocks, pages, settings, and content continue to work as before, with no migration or configuration change required.
Spectra Legacy includes layout tools, content and post blocks, form and SEO blocks, social blocks, and site tools. Spectra Pro Legacy adds the Loop Builder within the Price List block and includes registration and login forms alongside the other form capabilities identified for the Pro edition.
Blocks for pages and content
Core blocks include Container, Heading, Image, Icon, Buttons, Info Box, Call To Action, and Countdown. Content blocks include Sliders, Content Timeline, Google Maps, Inline Notices, Tabs, Taxonomy List, and Price List. These components can support structured pages, promotional sections, navigational content, and information-focused layouts within the WordPress editor.
Post blocks include Counter, Modal Popup, Post Carousel, Post Grid, and Post Timeline. The Pro Legacy Price List includes Loop Builder functionality, giving existing users an additional way to work with that block. Dynamic content tools also provide archive feed filtering by date, author, category, and post type.
Forms, SEO, and social elements
Form blocks cover contact forms, newsletter signup, suggestion forms, and reCAPTCHA. In Spectra Pro Legacy, registration and login forms are included as additional form options. SEO blocks include FAQ, How-To, Review, and Table of Contents components for presenting structured information.
Social blocks include Instagram Feed, Blockquote, Social Share, Team, and Testimonials. Together with the content and post blocks, these tools can support business pages, editorial layouts, community sites, portfolios, and other Gutenberg-based websites.
Site tools and styling
Spectra Legacy also includes Popup Builder, Coming Soon mode, block animations, local Google Fonts, and global styling defaults. The AI block previously included in the plugin is now called ZipAI and continues to work in Spectra Legacy for compatibility. New AI features are being developed in Spectra Blocks instead.
Compatibility and ongoing maintenance
The plugin works with most standard WordPress themes, including Spectra One, Astra, Blocksy, and GeneratePress. It is compatible with common plugins such as WooCommerce, SureCart, Gravity Forms, LearnDash, MemberPress, and Yoast SEO. Spectra Legacy receives security and compatibility updates and full support, but it does not receive new features.
Installation and use
Install Spectra Legacy on the existing WordPress site that uses its blocks, then continue editing the current pages and content in the block editor. Existing settings and layouts remain in place. Installing the separate Spectra Blocks plugin is optional for users who want new features as they are released; there is no required migration or deadline.
