Animated hero sections for WordPress
Slider Hero Pro is a responsive header hero slider and dynamic website intro advert maker for WordPress. It helps you create animated hero banners, hero sliders, landing-page introductions, text carousels, and product or service adverts without relying on an additional editing tool for the intro creation process.
The plugin combines CSS3 and JavaScript background animation effects with text, call-to-action buttons, background images, and video. Its PRO edition expands the available animation selection to 80+ effects and adds video slider options for YouTube, Vimeo, and custom videos.
PRO features
- 80+ effects: Choose from a larger collection of background and slider animation effects.
- YouTube video sliders: Use YouTube video as a slider or background element.
- Vimeo video sliders: Create video sliders using Vimeo content.
- Custom video sliders: Use custom video sources in supported slider layouts.
- Animated backgrounds: Build distinctive hero sections with CSS3 and JavaScript animation effects.
- Text carousels: Present changing headings, descriptions, and promotional messages.
- Call-to-action buttons: Add action-focused controls to hero content.
- Responsive layouts: Create hero sliders intended for responsive WordPress pages.
Editor and placement options
Slider Hero Pro includes a Gutenberg Slider block and an Elementor Slider widget. Use the block within the Gutenberg editor or place the widget through Elementor to embed a Slider Hero design where it is needed. This makes the plugin suitable for home-page hero areas, campaign landing pages, product introductions, service promotions, and other prominent sections.
The plugin also supports background image sliders and YouTube background video. Video autoplay depends on the video having no sound and on browser policy and the visitor’s history with the website. YouTube embeds may continue to show interface elements such as Watch Later, Share, and the video title because YouTube does not provide an option to hide them in the described way. Slider Hero Pro provides an overlay technique to mitigate these elements.
Practical workflow
Create a slider, choose an animation effect, add the desired text and description, and include a call-to-action button when appropriate. Select a background image, YouTube video, Vimeo video, or custom video according to the presentation you want. You can also combine an animation effect with a YouTube video. Review the result in the page or post where the block or widget has been placed.
Some effects do not support background images because the image may look unsuitable with those effects. If a selected effect does not display a background image, choose an effect that supports that presentation.
Installation and first use
Install and activate Slider Hero Pro in WordPress. Create a slider in the plugin interface, configure its effects and content, then save it. Add the Slider Hero Gutenberg block to a page or post, or use the Slider Hero Elementor widget in an Elementor layout. Preview the front end to check the responsive hero section, video behavior, animation, text, and call-to-action elements.
