Expand search across a WooCommerce store
Advanced Woo Search PRO adds premium search capabilities to the Advanced Woo Search plugin for WooCommerce. It helps shoppers find products, variations, taxonomies, users, and related store information through live AJAX search and search results pages.
The PRO edition is designed for stores with detailed catalogs, custom product data, multiple product types, or marketplace integrations. Alongside the plugin’s core search options, it can search additional fields and identifiers, present more types of results, and give administrators greater control over how queries are interpreted and displayed.
Premium search sources
- Product attributes: Search by attribute values such as color or size, including custom attributes.
- Product taxonomies: Search taxonomy terms such as brands and display taxonomy archive pages.
- Custom fields: Search values stored in product custom fields, including fields created with ACF.
- Unique identifiers: Search by GTIN, UPC, EAN, or ISBN.
- Variations: Search for and display product variations.
- Users: Search for store users and display their data inside search results.
These sources complement searches across standard product information such as titles, content, descriptions, categories, tags, IDs, and SKUs. The search engine can order results according to relevance, with the priority of the source where matching terms are found contributing to the ordering.
Control how searches work
PRO lets you switch between AND and OR search logic. AND logic shows only products containing all search words, while OR logic can return products containing any of the searched words. Automatic search suggestions can also be displayed according to the current query.
The plugin supports plural and singular word forms, synonyms, stop words, misspelling correction, and highlighted search terms. These options can help shoppers find relevant products when they use different word forms, alternative terms, or imperfect spelling.
Results, layouts, and store workflows
Add an Add To Cart button to product search results so shoppers can continue from the search interface. Choose from different search results layouts, show product data such as images, prices, descriptions, and SKUs, and set the maximum number of results. The plugin also provides search forms, taxonomy term results, search suggestions, and similar search terms through built-in shortcodes.
Store owners can place a search form with a widget or use the plugin’s search forms in place of current search forms. Advanced Woo Search supports the search results page and integrates results with the current page layout. It also supports mobile layouts, Google Analytics, multilingual plugins including WPML, Polylang, WooCommerce Multilingual, qTranslate, and GTranslate, and page builders including Gutenberg, Elementor, Beaver Builder, WPBakery, Breakdance Builder, Bricks Builder, Oxygen Builder, Divi Builder, Avada Builder, and Flatsome UX Builder.
Marketplace integrations
The PRO edition includes integrations with WCFM, Dokan, and MultiVendorX, along with a larger list of other integrations. These options are relevant to stores that need search features within marketplace or multivendor setups.
Installation and configuration
After adding Advanced Woo Search PRO to a WooCommerce site, use the plugin’s settings page to select search sources, result data, layouts, logic, and other available options. Product data is automatically synchronized, so changes do not require manually re-indexing all content after every update. Add the search form with a widget, shortcode, or the available search-form replacement options, then configure the search results page and display settings for the store.
