Advanced registration for WordPress events
Registrations for The Events Calendar Pro extends event registration workflows for websites using The Events Calendar. It is designed for meetups, classes, workshops, tournaments, webinars, private sessions, sports clubs, venue bookings, and other events that need more than a basic RSVP form.
Registrations are stored in the WordPress database, giving event managers a central place to review and manage submissions. Forms can be placed on the single event page or elsewhere on the site using a shortcode or the block editor.
Flexible forms and registration options
The Pro edition supports multiple registration forms per event and includes a drag-and-drop form builder. Advanced field types include drop-down menus, number fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, dates, file uploads, and paragraph fields. These options help you collect the information appropriate to each event.
- Create multiple registration forms for one event.
- Use different registration types with multiple price levels and limits.
- Allow guest registrations so one person can register multiple attendees.
- Let attendees edit their own registrations.
- Allow logged-in users to view a list of their registered events.
Payments, pricing, and capacity
For paid events, the plugin can accept online registration payments using PayPal. Stripe, iDEAL, and WooCommerce extensions are available. Offline payment management is also supported, allowing event organizers to track registration arrangements that are handled outside the online checkout process.
Pricing can be configured with multiple costs for an event or varied according to form field responses. Registration types can include different price levels and limits. You can also limit total registrations per event and create waiting lists with automatic promotion when places become available.
Communication and attendee management
Multiple confirmation email templates help tailor messages for different registration situations. Scheduled email messages can be used for reminders and follow-ups, while emails can also be sent manually from the WordPress dashboard. Attendees may cancel their registrations using a secure link sent by email.
Event check-in and attendance tracking tools support the process from initial registration through arrival. For event series, registrations can be connected to a single registration when used with The Events Calendar Pro.
Reports and administration
Event managers can work with registration records in the WordPress dashboard, import registrations in bulk using CSV, and download customizable registration reports as CSV files. These tools are useful when information needs to be reviewed, transferred, or prepared for event operations.
Installation and setup
Install and activate Registrations for The Events Calendar Pro alongside The Events Calendar. If The Events Calendar is not installed, it can be installed from the onboarding setup wizard. After activation, create a registration form, select its fields and options, and choose where it should appear. You can display a form on an event page or use a shortcode or block on another page.
Before publishing an event, configure any pricing, limits, payment settings, email templates, waiting-list rules, and registration deadlines required for that event. This creates a workflow that can cover registration, communication, attendance, and post-registration reporting from WordPress.
