Organize Contact Form 7 Submissions in Google Sheets
CF7 Google Sheets Connector PRO connects Contact Form 7 forms with Google Sheets so submissions can be sent to spreadsheets as new rows. It is intended for site owners who want to organize leads, inquiries, registrations, RSVPs, orders, and other form data in a searchable, shareable workspace.
The Pro edition builds on the essential connection between Contact Form 7 and Google Sheets with more control over feeds, authentication, field selection, and spreadsheet organization. A single form can send submissions to multiple Google Sheets or worksheet tabs, supporting workflows where different teams or processes need separate records.
Configure Feeds with Less Manual Entry
Automatic Google Sheet and tab detection lets you select a Google Sheet and worksheet tab directly instead of manually entering Sheet IDs and Tab IDs. This can make the setup workflow more straightforward when connecting a Contact Form 7 form to an existing spreadsheet.
Multiple Google Sheets feeds allow one Contact Form 7 form to distribute submissions to more than one destination. For example, a form can support separate spreadsheet tabs or sheets for different internal uses, provided each destination is configured as a feed.
Control How Form Data Is Sent
- Advanced field mapping: Choose which Contact Form 7 fields are sent to Google Sheets and control how the form data is organized.
- Custom column ordering: Decide the order in which Contact Form 7 fields appear in the spreadsheet.
- Custom header names: Rename Google Sheets column headers instead of using only the original Contact Form 7 field names.
- Field controls: Enable or disable individual fields to choose exactly which values are sent.
- Additional mail tag options: Use all Contact Form 7 special mail tags supported by the Pro edition.
These settings are useful when a spreadsheet needs a specific layout, clearer column labels, or a reduced set of submitted values. They also help adapt the same form structure to different spreadsheet destinations.
Authentication Choices
The connector supports Google OAuth 2.0 authentication, including Quick Connect, which does not require creating a Google Cloud project or API keys. It also provides Google Service Account authentication using a JSON key for server-to-server connections, as well as manual Google authentication for organizations using their own Google Cloud project and OAuth credentials.
Supporting Submission Workflows
Contact Form 7 submissions can be sent automatically to Google Sheets after successful form submission. The broader connector also provides optional local storage in the WordPress database, separate from the Google Sheets connection. Stored entries can be browsed by form, searched, paginated, marked read or unread, and selected for bulk sending to a spreadsheet.
Diagnostic tools include error logs for Google authentication, connection, and API failures, along with system-status information about the WordPress, PHP, plugin, and server environment.
