Understand how visitors use your site
Aurora Heatmap Premium is a WordPress heatmap tool for visualizing user behavior. It helps site managers see where visitors click and how they move through page content on desktop and mobile devices. By turning recorded activity into a visual heatmap, the plugin can make areas of engagement, possible confusion, and opportunities for improvement easier to review.
This is useful when you want to assess whether a page guides visitors clearly, whether important content receives attention, or whether potential prospects and readers may be missing key areas. The results can also support broader reviews of conversion activity and the points that may need improvement.
Paid edition capabilities
- Desktop and mobile click heatmaps: Review recorded clicks for PC and mobile pages.
- No page or PV restrictions: The source states that the paid version has no restrictions on the number of pages or page views that can be analyzed.
- WordPress-based operation: Aurora Heatmap works completely within your WordPress installation rather than requiring an external heatmap service account.
- Privacy-focused measurement: The plugin does not use cookies, track users, send recorded data to an external server, or record personally identifiable data including IP addresses.
- Priority email support: The premium version includes priority email support.
Practical workflow
Install and activate the plugin, then allow visitor activity to accumulate. Depending on site traffic, data may build up within a few hours to two days. Recorded activity is sent through Ajax communication as often as necessary, and the data appears in the dashboard after reloading the screen rather than as an automatic real-time display.
The accuracy setting controls which data is recorded for the heatmap. High accuracy is recommended for an accurate heatmap. If recording is insufficient, Standard can be tried instead. Changing from High accuracy deletes the previous standard data, while changing to Standard starts recording standard data from that point onward.
Use the resulting visual information to compare attention across page areas, inspect whether calls to action are being noticed, and identify content or layouts that may deserve revision. Heatmap data is associated with the page URL, so changing a permalink or post slug causes the changed address to be treated as a separate page.
Compatibility and troubleshooting
Aurora Heatmap can be used with WP Rocket, W3 Total Cache, and WP Super Cache. If a cache plugin interferes with measurement, turn off JavaScript-related optimization or exclude jQuery and the Aurora Heatmap measurement script, reporter.js, from optimization. If data does not appear, clear the cache and check that the site is receiving visitors. Extremely low access may result in little or no counting.
Installation
Install Aurora Heatmap Premium through the WordPress plugin workflow, activate it, and begin collecting activity. No coding or troublesome setup is required, and the plugin is designed to work by default in most WordPress environments. A monthly or annual license agreement is required to use the premium version.
