Build stronger content connections
Related Posts for WordPress Premium helps WordPress sites create and manage connections between related content. Its installation wizard analyzes your posts and links them based on what it considers related, allowing you to create recommendations without manually reviewing every post. You can choose the amount of related content to connect, then let the plugin handle the linking process.
The plugin is designed to perform its heavier work in the WordPress administration area. It creates its own cache so related-post processing does not have to be repeated on every visitor request. This makes it practical for sites with thousands of posts that need related connections created on the fly.
Premium controls for related content
- Full styling control: Use the configurator and custom CSS settings to adjust how related posts appear.
- Multiple related post styles: Choose from the available presentation styles for related content.
- Cross custom post type support: Connect content across custom post types.
- Custom taxonomy support: Use custom taxonomies when working with related content.
- Adjustable weights: Fine-tune how different factors influence related-post connections.
- Overwritable templates: Adapt the output through templates that can be overwritten.
- WordPress Network and Multisite support: Use the plugin in supported network and multisite setups.
- Manually created links: Keep links you create yourself while managing automatically generated connections.
Review and edit recommendations
Automatic suggestions are not locked in. From the relevant post, you can add, edit, or remove related posts when a connection is incomplete or unsuitable. This gives editors a practical way to combine automated linking with human judgment, keeping important recommendations under direct control.
Premium also includes priority email support. The settings are available under Settings > Related Posts, where you can configure the plugin’s related-content behavior and presentation. If excerpts are not required, set the excerpt length to zero. The automatically outputted CSS can also be disabled by clearing the CSS field.
Place related posts where they fit
Related content can be displayed in different areas of a site. Use the related-post widget in a sidebar, or insert the [rp4wp] shortcode at a chosen position within your content. The shortcode supports a limit attribute, such as [rp4wp limit=1], when you want to control how many related posts are shown. A theme function, rp4wp_children();, is also available for outputting the list within a theme.
