Build flexible post grids with Elementor
Post Grid Addon for Elementor Pro is an Elementor page-builder addon for presenting blog posts and other content in responsive grid layouts. It is designed for site owners who want to create structured post listings without coding, while retaining control over layout, content details, filtering, and navigation.
The addon includes multiple layouts for post-grid blocks, with five layouts available as a stated baseline and additional layouts and options in the Premium version. Its responsive layout is intended to work across devices, making it suitable for blog homepages, archive sections, category pages, resource libraries, and other areas where visitors need to browse collections of posts.
Paid features for content presentation
The paid capabilities provide more control over what appears in each grid and how visitors move through the results. Advanced customization options let you shape the presentation around the needs of your site. If a post does not have a featured image, you can assign a default image so the grid maintains a consistent visual structure.
Additional settings let you disable title and image links when those elements should not lead visitors to the individual post. Meta settings include controls for the date format, comments, author, categories, and other post information. These options make it possible to show only the details that support a particular layout or editorial purpose.
Filtering, pagination, and content sources
Post filtering pagination is available in normal, Ajax, and Load More formats. These options can help organize larger collections without placing every result in a single long page. Advanced query parameters provide further control over the content selected for a grid, while post exclusions let you remove specific posts from the displayed results.
The addon also supports custom post types, along with WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads support. This allows the same grid-oriented approach to be used for more than standard blog posts, including product or download-related content where those supported content sources are part of the site.
Practical uses
- Create a blog grid with selected metadata such as author, date, categories, or comments.
- Display filtered content with normal, Ajax, or Load More pagination.
- Build grids for custom post types, WooCommerce content, or Easy Digital Downloads content.
- Use a default image when individual posts do not provide a featured image.
- Choose an additional overlay layout for a more image-focused presentation.
Installation and setup
This addon requires Elementor to be installed and activated before it can work. After Elementor is ready, install and activate the addon, then use its Elementor grid options while designing a page or template. Select a layout, configure the query and exclusions, choose the metadata to display, and set pagination or filtering where needed.
The addon is described as compatible with all themes, including FSE themes, so it can be used within a wide range of WordPress theme setups.
