Create targeted WordPress popups
Popup Builder Pro is a WordPress popup solution for creating promotional, informative, and conversion-focused popups. It provides a range of popup types, conditions, and events so you can present the right message in different situations. Use it for announcements, offers, subscription forms, video content, notices, or other campaigns that need attention without changing the main page layout.
The interface separates popup types, events, conditions, and design settings, helping you build popups without special coding. You can create as many popups as needed and place them on pages or posts according to your preferred workflow.
Advanced popup types and controls
The PRO package adds more specific popup options, including iframe, video, and shortcode popups. It also provides advanced controls for how and when popups appear. You can disable popup closing, disable popups on mobile devices, show a popup only once, and configure other display behaviors.
- Open a popup automatically on page load.
- Open a popup when a visitor clicks a link.
- Set an opening delay for timed display.
- Use exit intent, video, Mailchimp, WooCommerce, login, and other popup types identified in the product information.
- Filter a popup for selected countries by allowing or disallowing display in chosen locations.
- Add an opening sound through the Effects panel.
These options support practical campaigns such as country-specific promotions, timed announcements, email collection, product messaging, and content previews. You can also configure a redirect after a visitor clicks popup content.
Customize the popup experience
Popup Builder provides extensive design controls for creating a branded appearance. Customize backgrounds, borders, overlays, text, colors, and other popup elements. The product also includes custom JavaScript and CSS opportunities, giving you additional flexibility when the standard design settings are not enough.
You can place multiple popups on the same page. One popup can be configured to open on page load, while others can be assigned to click actions. This makes it possible to combine a page-load notice with separate link-triggered messages or calls to action.
Connect with other WordPress tools
Popup Builder supports integrations with a selection of third-party WordPress plugins and services. Listed integrations include WooCommerce, MailChimp, Contact Form 7, WPML, Polylang, Ninja Forms, Gravity Forms, TablePress, Formidable Forms, WP Google Maps, HTML5 Maps, Review Builder, and Divi Builder. These connections can extend popup use for forms, lead generation, multilingual content, maps, reviews, and ecommerce-related messaging.
Installation and first setup
Install Popup Builder in your WordPress site, then create a popup and choose its type. Adjust the design, conditions, and events, and select the page or post where it should appear. For automatic display, use the page or post editor’s popup selection area and choose the popup for page load. For a click-triggered popup, add the product’s specified popup class to the relevant link.
If upgrading from the Free version, the product instructions advise disabling the Delete popup data option in Popup settings before upgrading. This is intended to preserve existing popup data during the change to PRO.
