Connect Contact Form 7 with ActiveCampaign
Active Campaign & Contact Form 7 Pro adds ActiveCampaign subscription features to Contact Form 7. It is designed for WordPress sites that collect information through Contact Form 7 and want submitted contacts added to ActiveCampaign without manual CSV imports, custom code, or webhooks.
After configuration, form submissions can be synchronized with ActiveCampaign in the background. The Pro edition provides more flexibility for sites with multiple forms, detailed data collection, tagging requirements, or multilingual content.
Pro capabilities
- Unlimited ActiveCampaign list IDs: subscribe contacts to as many ActiveCampaign lists as needed instead of limiting a site to one list.
- Unlimited custom fields: map every Contact Form 7 field collected by a form to ActiveCampaign without a field limit.
- Special CF7 mail tag support: use advanced Contact Form 7 mail tags in ActiveCampaign field mapping.
- Tagging support: automatically apply ActiveCampaign tags to new contacts based on form submissions.
- GDPR compliance fields: add consent or acceptance checkboxes before data is sent to ActiveCampaign.
- WPML and Polylang support: use the integration with multilingual WordPress sites.
Practical workflows
Use the plugin to connect different Contact Form 7 forms with the ActiveCampaign lists that match their purpose. A newsletter form, enquiry form, and customer-interest form can each be mapped to appropriate list IDs. Field mapping lets you transfer information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, and custom form values to corresponding ActiveCampaign list fields.
For more structured automation, tags can be applied according to the form submission. Consent or acceptance checkboxes can be included when a form needs an explicit permission field before information is sent. On multilingual sites, WPML and Polylang compatibility supports a workflow that includes translated WordPress content.
Focused configuration
The plugin is built as a focused Contact Form 7 add-on with its configuration handled through the Contact Form 7 form editor. Its purpose is to connect the form and ActiveCampaign without adding unnecessary settings pages. The source describes it as lightweight and compatible with any Contact Form 7 form on the site.
Requirements
- Contact Form 7 must be installed and active.
- An ActiveCampaign account is required.
- ActiveCampaign API credentials, including the account URL and API key, are required.
