Connect WPForms submissions with Google Sheets
WPForms Google Sheet Connector Pro connects WordPress websites using WPForms with Google Sheets. Form submissions can be sent to a connected spreadsheet in real time, giving teams a practical way to manage, share, and analyze entries without manual exports, CSV downloads, copy-and-paste work, or custom coding.
The add-on works with both WPForms Lite and WPForms Pro. Its feed-based connections allow forms to be linked with spreadsheets and provide a structured way to control how submission data is transferred.
Configure advanced form-to-sheet feeds
Pro supports multiple feeds per form, as well as connections for multiple forms and multiple Google Sheets per form. A form can be connected to its own spreadsheet or to different tabs within the same spreadsheet using feed-based connections. This is useful when separate teams, campaigns, or workflows require distinct destinations.
Field-to-column mapping lets you decide where form values appear in Google Sheets. You can reorder or rename sheet headers and use WPForms Smart Tags as column headers. This provides more control over the spreadsheet structure instead of relying on a basic submission layout.
Use Google authentication options
The connector supports custom Google API integration through OAuth and Service Account options. Google authentication can be handled from the integration settings, where the account is connected and permissions are granted. The source describes a one-click OAuth process and recommends checking Google Drive and Google Sheets permissions if authentication needs to be renewed.
Data is transferred directly between the WordPress site and the connected Google account. The source states that form entries are not stored on third-party servers by GSheetConnector.
Sync new and existing entries
New WPForms submissions can be synchronized automatically as they arrive. Pro also supports syncing existing WPForms entries to Google Sheets, helping you include earlier records in an organized spreadsheet workflow. Submission date and time can be sent to the sheet, while the Pro edition supports additional Smart Tags and advanced syncing options beyond the free version’s date-column functionality.
Date-based and filtered syncing provide additional control over which records are transferred. This can help separate entries by a selected date range or by filtering conditions relevant to a particular workflow.
Format and review spreadsheet data
The connector can freeze the header row and apply row colors, including odd-row, even-row, and header styling. These options make synchronized data easier to scan when a sheet contains many submissions. A debug log and system-status information are available for troubleshooting connection or synchronization issues.
Common use cases include following up on leads, sharing submissions with a team, preparing reports and dashboards, collaborating in Google Sheets, and reducing errors associated with manual data handling.
Installation and setup
Install and activate the Pro add-on on a WordPress site that uses WPForms Lite or WPForms Pro. Open the Google Sheet integration settings, connect a Google account with OAuth or configure the available Service Account option, and grant the required Google Drive and Google Sheets permissions. Create a feed, choose the form and destination sheet, then configure field mappings, headers, filters, or formatting options before saving the connection. Submit a test entry and review the synchronized row in Google Sheets.
