Understand activity across your WordPress site
User Activity Tracking and Log Premium helps site owners review how people use their websites. It tracks activity for both logged-in and anonymous users, recording page visits, visit duration, login and logout times, and other activity details in a central log.
The plugin is suited to membership websites, learning management systems, WooCommerce stores, and other WordPress sites where understanding visits and engagement is useful. Because tracking happens automatically, visitors do not need to press a start or stop button. This makes it possible to examine time spent reading pages, watching videos, viewing product pages, or using learning content.
Premium tracking capabilities
Premium adds time tracking and session duration information to activity logs. Administrators can see how long visits lasted, along with login and logout times. The plugin can also track custom post types and archives, extending activity records beyond standard pages.
Event goal tracking lets administrators define triggers for actions such as clicking a button, downloading a PDF, or using a mailto link. Email notifications can be enabled when an event is triggered, making it easier to respond to selected actions without continually checking the logs.
An automatic logout option can be configured for idle users. Administrators can also choose to track only logged-in users or limit tracking to particular roles, such as subscribers.
Search, filter, export, and connect
Advanced filters and powerful search options help narrow activity records. Logs can be exported to CSV for further review or reporting. Premium also provides REST API endpoints that return activity logs in JSON format, supporting workflows that need access to activity data beyond the main WordPress interface.
Custom timezone settings help present recorded activity in the timezone used for site administration or reporting. The activity data can include login date and time, logout date and time, last seen information, session duration, username and email for logged-in users, user role, page name and URL, IP address, location based on IP address, and referrer URL.
Privacy-focused data handling
The plugin stores no cookies on visitors’ computers. User data is stored locally on the website rather than collected or stored on the plugin publisher’s servers. IP addresses can be anonymized, and the plugin is described as GDPR, CCPA, and privacy ready. Site owners should configure tracking and data handling according to their own requirements.

- Measure how long visitors view WooCommerce product pages.
- Identify activity from logged-in members or selected roles.
- Monitor button clicks, PDF downloads, and mailto interactions.
- Export records for analysis or use activity data through REST API endpoints.
