Centralized WordPress site management
UpdraftCentral Premium Cloud is a hosted cloud version of UpdraftCentral for managing connected WordPress sites from one central location. The dashboard is hosted and maintained for you, providing a single place to work with backups, updates, site information, and other administration tasks instead of visiting each WordPress dashboard separately.
The service is designed for efficient access across multiple sites. You can log in to the WordPress dashboard of a connected site with a single click, inspect current system information, and review updates from all connected sites on one screen. This makes it practical for managing a group of websites, checking configurations, and carrying out routine maintenance from a central workflow.
Backups and updates in one place
UpdraftCentral Premium Cloud lets you manage UpdraftPlus backups centrally. From the dashboard, you can initiate backups, view or edit backup settings, see available backups, download or delete backups, and initiate a restore. You can also manage UpdraftVault storage from the same central environment.
WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates can be viewed across connected sites and carried out according to filters from a single screen. Update policies can be controlled through Easy Updates Manager. The dashboard can also remotely control WP-Optimize for cleaning a site database, helping place related maintenance actions within the same management process.
Administration and reporting tools
- Run Google Analytics to get an instant overview of important key performance indicators from all sites.
- Manage comments on all connected sites from one place.
- Manage users and give them different levels of access.
- Create tags to organize websites into categories.
- Manage plugins across one or multiple websites, including activating, deactivating, or deleting them.
- Install one or more plugins directly from WordPress.org and automatically activate them.
- Manage themes, select and set a default theme, and install themes from WordPress.org on one or multiple websites.
Designed for a focused workflow
The dashboard uses a single-page, dynamic JavaScript application that runs in the front end and full-screen mode, without requiring frequent page refreshes or placing the WordPress dashboard in the way. Communications are sent directly from the browser where possible. Connections between sites are RSA encrypted and signed, and each connection has a unique key pair.
UpdraftCentral can also be run by localhost, allowing the dashboard website to remain off the public Internet. The interface is mobile-ready and responsive. It is also extensible and developer friendly, using WordPress hooks widely, with documented JavaScript through JSDoc.
Installation and connection
To use the hosted edition, access UpdraftCentral Premium Cloud rather than self-hosting the dashboard. On the sites you want to control, install UpdraftPlus, then connect those sites to the central dashboard. Once connected, use the dashboard to review sites, backups, updates, and administration features from one location.
