Advanced tables for WordPress
TablePress Premium is a paid edition of TablePress for websites that need more functionality from their tables. It builds on a table workflow designed for creating, editing, and managing data without coding knowledge. Use it for price lists, product and model tables, directories, schedules, inventories, comparison tables, participant lists, or research and statistical data.
Tables can contain different types of data, including images, links, and math formulas. Visitors can use interactive features such as sorting, pagination, searching, and filtering to locate relevant information. TablePress creates accessible HTML tables, and its interactive features include accessibility enhancements for screen readers and other assistive technologies.
Premium capabilities
The Premium license plan adds functionality for larger tables and advanced use cases. Available features include:
- Responsive table options for presenting table content across devices.
- Advanced filtering and search to help visitors find specific information.
- Fixed table headers and columns for easier reference when viewing table data.
- Automatic periodic imports for workflows that regularly bring in updated table data.
- Custom styling options for adjusting the appearance of tables.
- Priority email support for users with an active TablePress Premium license plan.
Import, export, and publishing
TablePress supports importing and exporting tables from Excel, CSV, HTML, and JSON files or URLs. It can also work with spreadsheet data from Google Sheets and Excel Online, as well as files stored on Dropbox or OneDrive. This makes it suitable for data that is maintained outside WordPress and then brought into a site table.
When a table is ready, publish it in posts, pages, or other site areas using the block editor, an Elementor widget, or Shortcodes. You can enable table options from the table’s Edit screen, including sorting, pagination, searching, filtering, alternating row colors, and row highlighting. The result can support both visitor browsing and searches through WordPress and search engines.
Practical workflow
Start by creating or importing a table, then edit its content and choose the relevant display options. Add images, links, or formulas where needed, configure filtering or search for larger datasets, and apply custom styling. For recurring data sources, automatic periodic imports can reduce the need for repeated manual updates.
Installation and setup
After installing TablePress, create and manage tables from the “TablePress” screen in the WordPress Dashboard. To display a table, add a “TablePress table” block in the block editor, select a table through an Elementor widget, or use Shortcodes with other page builders. The plugin documentation, tutorials, guides, and FAQ provide instructions for common tasks and styling changes.
TablePress requires WordPress 6.7 or higher and a server running PHP 7.4 or newer. The latest version of WordPress is recommended. An active Premium license plan provides access to the listed Premium features and priority email support.
