Custom subscription forms for WordPress
Subscribe Forms Pro and Subscribe Forms Agency are paid plans for creating and managing promotional subscription forms on a WordPress blog or website. The forms are intended for building an email list with customizable opt-in experiences rather than relying only on standard newsletter fields supplied by an email content management system.
The paid plans provide tools for creating forms that can match a site’s visual style and appear in practical locations such as embedded page areas, inline content, or widget areas. Forms can be managed with shortcodes, while the available customization options support different layouts, messages, backgrounds, colors, and responsive presentation.
Templates and design controls
Pro includes 12 pre-designed form templates to help you create a subscription form without starting from an empty layout. You can also create custom backgrounds, choose custom colors, and build fully custom forms.
Paid customization extends to heading text, text color, text size, overlay transparency, action button text, form width, and other visual settings. A background image can be used, and the form can be configured for embedded or inline display. The design is fully responsive, supporting a consistent presentation across different screen sizes.
Email provider connections
Subscribe Forms supports connections with MailChimp, ActiveCampaign, GetResponse, Constant Contact, ConvertKit, iContact, Gist, SendFox, HubSpot CRM, MailerLite, Pipedrive, and MailPoet. The source also identifies MailChimp, GetResponse, and ActiveCampaign forms and support within the paid feature set.
A form can be connected to more than one provider. For example, leads can be sent to MailChimp, Pipedrive, HubSpot, or SendFox while also being received by email. MailChimp integrations can use tags and assign contacts to MailChimp groups.
Submission workflow
Ajax support helps manage form submissions within the form workflow. After submission, you can edit the thank-you screen, redirect visitors to another URL, or hide the contact form. Redirects can lead to a custom thank-you page or another page, and the destination can open in the current tab window or a new tab.
These controls are useful for newsletters, promotional signups, and other email-list campaigns where the visitor needs a clear response after submitting a form. The form can also include a consent checkbox identified in the source as GDPR compliant.
Lead management and placement
The plugin can save and track leads locally from the WordPress site. You can embed forms in the widget area and manage multiple forms using shortcodes. The free feature list also mentions changing form and button text, changing text size, controlling form width, getting the URL of the page where the form was submitted, choosing free fonts, and applying preset colors; the paid plans extend the available design and workflow options.
Installation and setup
Install the selected paid plan on a WordPress site, create a form, and choose a template or custom design. Set the form’s text, colors, background, layout, provider connections, and submission behavior. Add the form through its shortcode, embed it in a page or widget area, or use an inline placement. Before publishing, configure the thank-you screen, redirect, local lead tracking, and any required provider tags or groups.
