Showcase images in flexible WordPress galleries
Image Gallery Premium is designed for portfolios, photography blogs, business websites, and other WordPress projects that need an organized way to present images. The paid edition includes the available gallery features and adds advanced controls for presentation, loading behavior, and image viewing.
You can create as many galleries as your site needs and add unlimited images to each gallery. Images can be selected from the WordPress media library, arranged with drag-and-drop ordering, and presented in layouts that adapt to different screen sizes.
Layouts for different visual styles
Choose from grid, masonry, or circle gallery layouts to match the content and style of a page. Grid galleries display images in structured rows and columns, while masonry galleries allow images to stack according to their dimensions. The paid edition also supports multiple aspect ratios, including 1:1, 4:3, and 16:9.
Column controls help determine how many images appear in each row. The available range is two to six columns, with responsive behavior for mobile devices. Galleries can also be shown in widget areas, making them suitable for sidebar presentation as well as posts and pages.
Enhanced image viewing
Image Gallery Premium includes six lightbox script options: G Lightbox, PhotoSwipe v4, Modal, Viewer, Blue Imp, and LD Lightbox. These options open images in an overlay so visitors can focus on the selected image without leaving the page.
The plugin also includes lightbox image descriptions, allowing additional information to accompany an image in the viewing experience. Image titles and alternative text options support clearer presentation and accessibility-focused content management.
Loading and site-wide controls
A global settings page provides site-wide controls for lazy loading, WebP conversion, skeleton loading, loading animations, and backup import/export. Loading animations include shimmering skeleton placeholders and modern icons such as spinner, pulse, and dots styles. Color selection is available for these loading elements.
The paid edition also provides custom profile headers in standard, centered, and compact formats. These layouts use mock social branding header designs for galleries that benefit from a profile-style presentation.
Publish galleries where visitors need them
- Shortcode: Place [IMG-Gal id=X] in a post, page, text widget, or custom template.
- Gutenberg: Add the native Image Gallery block, choose a gallery from the dropdown, and preview it in the editor.
- Elementor: Drag the Image Gallery widget into a page layout and select the gallery for visual editing.
These publishing options make it possible to manage gallery content separately from the page layout and reuse galleries across suitable areas of a WordPress site.
Getting started
Open the New Image Gallery menu in the WordPress dashboard and select Add Image Gallery. Upload or choose images from the media library, configure the layout, columns, spacing, and viewing options, then save the gallery. Finally, place it with the shortcode, Gutenberg block, or Elementor widget.
