Interactive maps for WordPress
Easy Google Maps Pro is designed for adding customizable Google Maps to WordPress websites. Use it to show business locations, contact-page maps, routes, real estate locations, delivery areas, and other places of interest. Maps can be added with a shortcode or PHP code, opened in a popup, or displayed through a Google map widget.
The plugin supports an unlimited number of map markers and locations. Each marker can include a media-rich description with text, images, video, links, email addresses, and phone numbers. This gives visitors more context than a simple location pin and can help present restaurants, shops, properties, service areas, or other destinations.
Flexible map and marker presentation
Map and marker settings are customizable, including map dimensions, zoom, marker options, and other display settings. The map is fully responsive, making it suitable for different screen sizes. The Pro version also includes map styling through selectable custom themes.
For sites with many locations, markers and locations can be organized into groups with clusterization. Visitors can view locations through an exposition slider, table view, or horizontal and vertical sliders. Description slider and slider table-view options provide additional ways to browse marker information without relying only on the map itself.
Routes, layers, and map tools
- Show alternate routes and route steps.
- Add KML layers, with import and filtering options.
- Display traffic, transit, and bicycling layers.
- Use a heatmap layer for location data.
- Draw figures and paths directly on the map.
- Allow front-end editing of maps and markers.
- Use map social share buttons.
- Import and export Google Maps and markers.
These tools support practical mapping workflows, from presenting delivery coverage and property locations to explaining travel routes and highlighting areas of activity. Marker media can make location pages more informative, while route and layer controls can help visitors understand how to reach a destination or interpret map data.
Ways to use the plugin
A restaurant can mark its address and add photographs or videos to the marker description. A real estate website can organize multiple properties into groups and display their details in a slider or table. A service business can show delivery areas, routes, and related locations. A contact page can use a responsive map to make the business location easier to discover.
Basic setup
After adding the plugin in WordPress, open Add Map from the left navigation menu, enter a map name, and select Save Map. Map settings can then be adjusted, including width in pixels or percentage, height in pixels, zoom, and available styling options. Place the finished map with its shortcode, PHP code, popup, or widget according to the presentation required by the site.
