Build dynamic layouts from ACF and SCF fields
Blocks for ACF Fields Pro lets you display Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and Secure Custom Fields (SCF) directly in the WordPress block editor. Instead of creating a custom block or writing PHP for every field, you can add the ACF Field block, choose a field, and place its output within a page, post, template, or theme part.
The Pro edition keeps the same straightforward workflow: select a block, select a field, and configure how the content should appear. It expands the available field support, layout choices, and content sources for more complex WordPress projects.
Support for advanced field types
Pro is designed for fields that need more than a simple text or image output. Repeater fields can be turned into layouts that you compose in the editor, with each sub field available as its own block. Repeater rows can be displayed as a List, Grid, Carousel, Accordion, or Tabs layout.
Gallery fields can be rendered as a Grid, Masonry, or interactive Carousel. Gallery output includes a built-in lightbox and responsive options for different screen sizes. Group fields can be opened so that their sub fields are displayed individually, including fields inside deeply nested groups.
The Pro version also adds support for more advanced ways to render existing fields, with more than 20 advanced display formats described for the edition. This provides additional control over how structured content is presented in the block editor.
Choose where content comes from
The block can load values from several WordPress content sources. Use Post to display fields attached to the current post, page, or custom post type. Select Option for global values such as logos, contact information, or social links. User fields can be used in author templates for bios, avatars, and other custom user data. Taxonomy fields are available for term archive templates and custom category, tag, or taxonomy layouts.
Editor-friendly display controls
Text-based fields, including multiple-value fields such as Select or Checkbox, can be shown as plain text or formatted with typography controls. Image fields can be displayed as images with styling options comparable to core Image blocks. URL-return fields, including Link or Post Object fields, can be rendered as clickable buttons that match the design of the active theme.
Blocks for ACF Fields Pro also works with the WordPress Site Editor, Query Loops, reusable patterns, and dynamic layouts. This makes it suitable for custom templates, theme parts, archive layouts, author areas, and content structures that need to update from field values.
