Publish WordPress content across business channels
AutoSocial is the Pro edition for extending WordPress content distribution beyond a single website. It provides the same core functionality as Auto Publish for Google My Business while adding publishing support for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. It is designed for site owners and client websites that want to share content across business profiles without repeating the same publishing task on each platform.
Automated publishing from WordPress
AutoSocial can publish posts, pages and custom post types automatically. You can schedule posts, choose which content types to share, and filter eligible items by category from the plugin settings. A default share message can be configured for published content, with time-saving shortcodes available in the message. Individual posts can override the default action, or you can disable automatic publishing by default and select sharing only where needed.
For Google My Business publishing, the post’s featured image is used as the Google My Business post image, while the post link becomes the call-to-action link. Event posts can include a start date and an end date. The plugin uses the Google My Business API for this publishing workflow.
Multiple locations and publishing control
AutoSocial supports multiple Google My Business locations. You can select the locations used with the plugin, define default locations, and choose the destinations for each individual post. This is useful when managing several business locations or publishing different content to selected profiles.
Each post includes an option to prevent sharing when a particular item should remain on the website only. A share history timeline is also available from the WordPress posts, pages and custom post type screens, helping you review the publishing activity associated with each item.
Manual posts and review display
Not every update needs to be connected to WordPress content. From the plugin settings, you can create a manual Google My Business post that is not tied to a post, page or custom post type. Past posts can also be edited or removed without opening the Google My Business page.
AutoSocial also includes review display tools. Use the review shortcode builder to place reviews on posts, pages or in a sidebar widget. The builder provides a live preview of a review slider or grid, offers presentation options, and allows specific reviews to be excluded manually. Reviews are updated automatically once each day.
