Australia Post WooCommerce Extension Pro connects Australia Post shipping services with your WooCommerce store. It calculates shipping costs and delivery times for customers while presenting available services during the cart and checkout process. The extension also supports WooCommerce shipping zones, helping you organize delivery options for different destinations.
Domestic and international services
For domestic orders, the Pro edition supports Regular Post, Express Post, and Courier Post. You can enable or disable these options according to the services you want to offer. International shipping options include Economy Air, Economy Sea, Standard International, Express International, and International Courier.
The extension also supports international custom boxes, allowing you to enter your shipping box information. It then uses those details when calculating shipping prices, helping you configure packaging around the products you sell.
Flexible product and checkout settings
If products are missing weight or dimensions, you can define default weight and size values for the extension to use. This is useful when your catalog does not contain complete physical product information or when adding those details to every item is impractical.
Delivery-time estimates can be displayed on cart and checkout pages. You can also customize the titles shown for shipping options, giving you control over how services are presented to customers. If several methods are available, the extension can display the cheapest option to simplify the customer’s choice.
Tracking and extra services
Shipping tracking lets you provide the Australia Post tracking number on the order page. A tracking link is created in the customer’s account and included in order emails. You can also enable extra services such as Extra Cover and Signature on Delivery, giving customers the option to request them when those services are enabled.
Prepaid satchels and letters
The Pro edition supports prepaid domestic shipping options with fixed prices for selected satchels. Available choices include Regular Post small, medium, and large satchels; Express Post small, medium, and large satchels; and Courier Post medium satchels.
For smaller items, you can enable letter shipping. Supported choices include Regular Small Letter, Regular Large Letter, Regular Large Light Letter, Regular Large Medium Letter, Regular Large Heavy Letter, Express Post Small Envelope, Express Post Medium Letter, Express Post Large Envelope, Priority Small Letter, Priority Large Light Letter, Priority Large Medium Letter, and Priority Large Heavy Letter.
Testing and setup
The debug mode activates the shipping display for you and shows debugging information at checkout, making it useful for testing settings and shipping prices before presenting the configuration to customers.
Installation
Install and activate the extension in your WordPress site, then configure Australia Post services, default dimensions, boxes, titles, delivery times, tracking, and other options. An Australia Post API key is required to use the API; the source directs users to Australia Post to obtain one.
