The PRO upgrade adds payment options beyond the basic scheduling workflow. Supported additions include Direct Bank Transfer and PayPal, along with Stripe methods such as Bancontact, iDEAL, Giropay, SEPA Direct Debit, SOFORT, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
These payment choices can be used as part of the booking process for services and appointments. The plugin also supports cash payments in its booking management tools, allowing administrators to edit booking information and manage payment-related details from the WordPress backend.
Synchronize staff availability
Appointment Booking PRO can sync website bookings to employees’ Google Calendars. This gives staff members a way to view bookings alongside their calendar information while the website continues to collect appointment requests through the booking form.
The main scheduling system provides available and unavailable slots, clickable dates, individual service availability calendars, and monthly, weekly, and daily calendar views. Clients can select an available time and submit a reservation through a responsive, wizard-like booking form.
Manage customers and notifications
Administrators can register new customers manually through the site’s backend with the PRO upgrade. This is useful when a reservation arrives outside the public booking form or when staff need to enter client information directly.
The upgrade also allows more recipients for email notifications. The broader notification system supports automated and customizable emails for staff and clients, including appointment confirmations, cancellations, reminders, custom event-driven messages, and notices about upcoming bookings. Email templates can be customized, while client notes, booking comments, booking history, and booking statuses help staff maintain appointment records.
Practical booking workflow
Set up services, locations, staff members, capacities, and availability, then publish an appointment booking form or an individual service calendar. Clients choose a date and available slot, provide the requested information, and submit their booking. Staff can approve or deny bookings automatically or manually, reschedule appointments, edit client details, and process cancellations initiated by clients.
Installation and setup
Install the MotoPress Appointment Booking plugin in WordPress and activate it. The setup wizard appears after activation and helps create a booking form in a few steps. After upgrading to PRO, configure the additional payment gateways, connect employee Google Calendars, add backend-registered customers when needed, and set the required notification recipients.
