WordPress performance optimization
10Web Booster Pro is a paid speed optimization edition for improving the overall performance of WordPress websites. It provides full frontend optimization across the entire website and all images, together with backend optimization. The plugin is designed to reduce the work required to improve page speed, visitor experience, engagement, and conversions.
10Web Booster Pro works with desktop and mobile versions of websites of any complexity. Its optimization process includes several technical methods that reduce resource size, improve retrieval, and deliver images according to the visitor’s screen and container.
Core optimization features
- Backend and server caching: Pro employs backend caching through NGINX FastCGI Cache. It can cache resources including pages, feeds, and 301 redirects on subdomains.
- Page caching: Dynamic WordPress pages can be stored as static copies for faster retrieval.
- File caching: Minified and compressed scripts and styles can be stored for quicker access.
- Smart caching controls: The caching system includes cache invalidation along with session-aware, browser-aware, device-aware, and cookie-aware caching.
- CSS and HTML minification and compression: File sizes can be reduced by removing unnecessary bytes and merging selected resources.
- JavaScript minification and compression: Extra spaces, comments, and other nonessential code components can be removed, while scripts can be combined to reduce download and execution time.
Image and media handling
Image optimization reduces image file size while preserving image quality. 10Web Booster Pro uses WebP compression, container-specific image resizing, and preloading for smaller images. Different screen sizes can receive appropriately sized images, helping avoid loading an unnecessarily large image when a thumbnail or smaller version is required.
The optimization feature set also includes image lazy loading, conversion to WebP, iframe and video lazy loading, and font swap. These functions support a workflow focused on delivering page resources when they are needed and reducing unnecessary loading work.
Configurable speed modes
10Web Booster Pro provides four optimization levels that can be managed for individual pages through the Custom rules tab in the 10Web dashboard:
- Standard: Includes standard speed optimization techniques, including caching, code minification and compression, image optimization, lazy loading, font swap, WebP conversion, and container-specific image resizing.
- Balanced: Adds Critical CSS generation to the Standard features.
- Strong: Adds JavaScript delay to the Standard features.
- Extreme: Combines the Balanced features with JavaScript delay.
During automated homepage optimization, the available modes are tested and compared. The mode with the highest score that keeps the website from breaking is set as the default. Individual page settings can be changed through Custom rules when a different optimization level is needed.
Practical workflow
Switch to 10Web Booster Pro from the personal dashboard to complete website optimization. The Pro edition is intended for sites that need full-site frontend and backend optimization rather than limited page coverage. Its stated goals include achieving a 90+ PageSpeed score and passing Core Web Vitals automatically, while supporting improved search visibility, engagement, and conversions.
Installation and setup
After switching to the Pro edition, use the personal dashboard to manage optimization. Begin with the homepage optimization process, review the selected speed mode, and use the Custom rules tab to manage optimization levels for individual pages. The dashboard also provides the URL area used to add pages for optimization.
