Give clients focused WordPress access
Simple Client Dashboard Pro creates an additional WordPress user role named Admin. It is positioned between the default Administrator and Editor roles, giving clients and webmasters access to the features they need while limiting access to settings and functions that could affect the wider website.
The role is designed for client websites where content management is required but unrestricted administrator access is not appropriate. The free plugin provides a clean interface for editing the role, while the Pro edition adds more detailed controls for popular third-party plugins.
Control the WordPress dashboard
The Admin role is similar to the default Administrator role, with restrictions intended to hide non-essential or troublesome dashboard areas. Depending on the configured role permissions, it can:
- Hide the WordPress Settings menu.
- Hide the WordPress Plugins menu.
- Hide the WordPress Tools menu.
- Hide the WordPress Users menu.
- Hide the Appearance > Editor tab.
- Disable the theme installation button.
- Disable theme-switching buttons.
- Disable the WordPress Core Updates button.

Restrict third-party plugin functions
Simple Client Dashboard Pro extends the role controls beyond the standard permissions exposed by WordPress. Its third-party plugin constraints can be used to shape what the Admin role can see or do in supported plugins.
- Advanced Custom Fields: Hide the ACF menu and settings, including definitions, rules, and fields.
- Custom Post Types: Restrict the ability to create Custom Post Types.
- Contact Form 7: Restrict creating, deleting, and editing forms while allowing the Admin role to view submissions.
- Draw Attention: Restrict the ability to add Draw Attention images.
- Easy Digital Downloads: Allow management of products, customer payments, reports and sales data, and settings as selected.

Installation and workflow
Install Simple Client Dashboard on the client’s WordPress website. The new Admin role is then available with little to no setup required. Assign the role to the relevant client or webmaster, review its permissions through the editing interface, and use the Pro controls to configure access for supported third-party plugins.
