WordPress environment information for professional workflows
Version Info places essential technical information inside the WordPress administration area. The paid plans extend the core display of WordPress, PHP, MySQL, and web server details with monitoring, diagnostics, notifications, and administration tools for developers, freelancers, agencies, and hosting teams.
The PRO Plan is designed for advanced site intelligence. The Agency Plan includes the PRO capabilities and adds portfolio-oriented tools for client sites, multisite installations, and branded administration.
PRO Plan capabilities
- Live system resources: Expand the dashboard widget into a server-health view with more than 30 live statistics grouped by identity, resources, database, PHP, WordPress status, and diagnostics.
- CPU and RAM activity: View visual bars and inline sparklines representing approximately the last 7.5 minutes of activity. Indicators change from green to orange to red at the stated 70% and 90% thresholds.
- Server location: Use the available pluggable provider approach for server-location information.
- Version monitoring: Compare PHP and other version information with known end-of-life dates and identify critical, warning, or good status conditions.
- Email alerts: Receive plain-text notifications when monitored versions change, with configurable recipients, component toggles, previous and new values, and timestamps.
- JSON system information export: Download technical stack information as structured JSON for support tickets, hosting conversations, and pre-migration archives.
- Role-based visibility: Control which WordPress roles can see version information.
- Priority support: PRO customers receive priority support.
Agency Plan capabilities
The Agency Plan adds tools for teams managing multiple client or network sites. Full white-labeling can replace Version Info and Gaucho Plugins branding in the plugins list, widget, admin bar, footer, and settings page. Freemius branding can also be hidden, and access to the White Label tab can be restricted to one administrator. In-plugin documentation links can be hidden sitewide.
A role-based visibility matrix controls access to version information in the admin bar, footer, and dashboard widget. The multisite network dashboard presents WordPress, PHP, MySQL, and database-size information for every site, with caching and a stated cap of 100 sites for performance. The PHP error log dashboard displays the last 100 lines of debug.log, masks paths automatically, and provides a ZIP download for offline analysis.
Practical workflow
Use the dashboard widget, admin bar, or footer to review the technical stack while working in WordPress. Developers can inspect resource and environment data during troubleshooting, export structured information for support discussions, and configure alerts for changes across managed sites. Agencies can apply consistent branding and limit client visibility to keep dashboards focused.
Installation and setup
Install and activate Version Info in WordPress. Core version details appear in the administration interface, while the dashboard widget can be enabled through Screen Options. After activating a paid plan, configure monitoring, recipients, visibility, white-label, multisite, or error-log settings according to the workflow required.
