Connect WordPress with Telegram
WP Telegram Pro integrates a WordPress site with Telegram and gives administrators control over automated publishing, private notifications, and connection options. It is designed for sites that need to distribute content, deliver selected notifications, or keep Telegram communication connected to WordPress workflows.
Post content to Telegram
The Post to Telegram module can send posts automatically when they are published or updated. Messages can be delivered to a Telegram channel, group, supergroup, or private chat, with support for multiple channels and chats. Pro also supports multiple channels based on category, tag, author, or post type.
Message Template tools let you compose reusable post messages with emojis and conditional logic. You can include a featured image with the text or send only the featured image. Scheduled and future posts are supported, and messages can be delayed by a specific interval. An inline button can link readers to the post URL.
The module supports WooCommerce products and other custom post types. You can send custom fields and custom taxonomy terms, select which post types are included, and choose whether new posts, existing posts, or both should be sent. Custom rules can filter content by author, category, tag, post format, or custom taxonomy term. Settings can also be overridden on an individual post edit page. Unlimited reaction buttons are supported.
Private notifications
WP Telegram Pro can deliver email notifications through Telegram. Supported notification sources include WooCommerce order notifications, Contact Form 7, and notifications from other plugins. Users can receive their email notifications on Telegram, helping centralize selected site activity in a chat environment.
The module integrates with WP Telegram Login so users can connect their Telegram account. Users may also enter their Telegram Chat ID manually on the relevant page.
Proxy options
If a hosting environment blocks Telegram, the Proxy module can help bypass the block by using a proxy. Supported options include a Cloudflare worker proxy with file upload support and a custom Google Script proxy. The module also supports PHP-compatible proxy options, including HTTP, SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, SOCKS5, and SOCKS5_HOSTNAME. You can select the proxy type used for the connection.
Administration and setup
WP Telegram Pro is intended to be easy for administrators to install and configure. It is customizable with actions and filters, can be extended with custom code, and is translation ready. To connect a bot, create one with @BotFather using the /newbot command, then use the Bot Token provided by Telegram in the plugin settings. Private channels and groups require the appropriate chat ID.
Installation
Install WP Telegram Pro on the WordPress site, open its settings, enter the Telegram bot details, and configure the modules you need. Set destinations, message templates, rules, notifications, and proxy options as applicable. Test the selected configuration before using it for regular publishing or notifications.
