Optimize images across a WordPress website
WPvivid Image Optimization Pro is an image optimization and compression plugin for WordPress. It helps optimize and resize images, apply lazy loading, and support faster page loading. The plugin can be used with leading page builders and eCommerce plugins such as WooCommerce, making it suitable for content sites, online stores, and websites with larger media libraries.
The Pro edition removes daily and monthly optimization limits for each domain. It also extends image processing with WebP conversion, custom compression controls, additional image formats, larger uploads, custom folder handling, exclusion rules, scheduled optimization, and white-label options.
Compression and format controls
Choose between lossy and lossless compression according to the needs of each image workflow. Pro provides custom compression levels so you can define image quality and size settings rather than relying on a single general rule. Images can be converted to WebP format, and Pro supports optimization for JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF files.
Single image uploads of up to 32 MB can be processed. Images may be optimized automatically when uploaded, or selected manually for optimization and resizing. Existing images can also be resized in bulk when a media library needs to be brought into a more consistent size range.
Bulk, scheduled, and targeted processing
Process an image library in bulk with a simple action, or select individual images for more targeted work. Pro can optimize images stored under custom folders and lets you specify folders or files to exclude. Scheduled optimization can automatically run bulk processing according to the schedule configured for the website.
Original image backup and restore tools provide a way to back up original files and restore them later when needed. These controls support a more deliberate workflow when changing compression, resizing, or format settings across existing media.
Loading and delivery options
Lazy loading delays image loading until images are needed, helping reduce the initial page load work. CDN integration is available to support image delivery through a content delivery network. The plugin also uses a specialized cloud-server API for image processing, with a faster API option and improved algorithms described for Pro.
Workflow for a media library
- Choose automatic optimization for new uploads or prepare existing images for bulk processing.
- Select lossy, lossless, or custom compression settings.
- Convert supported images to WebP when that format suits the website.
- Set resize rules for uploads or resize existing images in bulk.
- Define custom folders and exclusions for more focused processing.
- Schedule recurring bulk optimization when automatic processing is preferred.
- Enable lazy loading and configure CDN integration for image delivery.
