Custom typography for WordPress
Use Any Font Premium is an edition of the Use Any Font | Custom Font Uploader plugin for adding custom typefaces to WordPress websites. It is designed for site owners who want more control over typography without working directly with CSS. Upload font files, convert them for browser compatibility, and assign them to selected content through the plugin’s font management tools.
The Premium edition is intended for multiple font conversion requests. It works with supported font formats including TTF, OTF, WOFF, and WOFF2. The uploader automatically converts uploaded fonts to compressed WOFF2 format using Brotli, helping prepare files for faster loading while retaining the original workflow of uploading a supported font file.
Upload and organize custom fonts
Use Any Font stores custom fonts on your own server rather than on a remote font embedding service. Fonts are embedded with @font-face CSS, providing a self-hosted approach to site typography. The plugin also supports font uploads up to 25 MB, which is useful when a typeface file is larger than usual.
You can upload font variations and select their weights and styles. For consistent variation handling, the same custom font name should be used across the variations. This helps keep related styles organized when applying regular, italic, light, bold, or other available weights and styles.
Assign fonts without editing CSS
The built-in font assignment interface lets you apply uploaded fonts to predefined HTML tags or custom CSS selectors. Fonts can also be used through a class matching the font name, making them available in visual builders and other editing environments.
- Assign typefaces to selected HTML tags.
- Apply fonts to custom CSS targets.
- Use uploaded fonts with WordPress Editor and Gutenberg.
- Work with builders including Elementor, Divi, SiteOrigin, Beaver Builder, Themify, Oxygen, Bricks, WPBakery, and others listed by the plugin.
- Use fonts with supported themes and theme option panels.
The plugin includes compatibility for named themes such as Avada, X Theme, Flatsome, Salient, Porto, Shopkeeper, Oshine, WoodMart, Astra, OceanWP, GeneratePress, and others. Fonts can also be assigned by language when used with WPML or Polylang.
Practical workflow
Choose the font files you want to use, upload them through the font upload area, and let the converter create the required browser format. Add variations when needed, then use the assignment interface or the relevant builder and theme controls to apply the font to your site. The font display property can be configured to manage loading behavior in the generated @font-face rules.
Installation
Install the Use Any Font plugin in WordPress, activate the Premium edition, and open its font upload area. Upload a supported font file, review its generated formats and variations, then assign the font to your chosen tags, selectors, builder elements, or theme settings.
