Extend structured data across your WordPress site
Schema Pro is the advanced edition for adding schema markup to WordPress content. It expands the available schema types beyond the core All In One Schema Rich Snippets options, helping you describe pages, content, businesses, products, events, and other subjects using structured data.
Structured data provides search engines with information about the content on a page. Depending on the content and search engine presentation, this can support rich snippets that may include details such as ratings, authors, images, prices, dates, locations, or other relevant information. Schema Pro is intended for sites that need more advanced schema types and broader markup options.
Content schema types
The Pro edition includes schema types for common publishing, business, and content use cases. Select the type that matches the information you want to describe on a page.
- Article: Add author, publisher, and publish date details.
- Book: Share a title, author, and ISBN.
- Course: Showcase a course with provider, description, and ratings.
- Event: Display dates, venues, and ticket information.
- FAQ: Mark up frequently asked questions.
- How-To: Describe step-by-step instructions with images and videos.
- Product: Add product information such as price, availability, and ratings.
- Service: Highlight services with descriptions, providers, and pricing information.
- Software Application: Describe an application with pricing, ratings, and download information.
- Video Object: Add video details such as thumbnails, duration, and descriptions.
- WebPage: Define a page type, author, and publisher.
Specialized and custom markup
Schema Pro also supports specialized schema options for datasets, discussion forums, image licenses, job postings, local businesses, movies, people, podcasts, recipes, vehicles, and other content. Examples include Dataset, Discussion Forum, Image License, Job Posting, Local Business, Movie Carousel, Person, Podcast, and Vehicle Listing schemas.
When the available predefined types do not describe your content closely enough, Custom Markup Schema lets you add your own custom JSON-LD schema markup to a page. This provides a flexible option for content that needs a specific structured-data format.
Site-wide schemas
For information that relates to the wider website, use the site-wide schema options. These include About Page, Breadcrumb, Contact Page, Organization, Person, Site Navigation, and Sitelinks Search Box schemas. Organization schema can represent a company name, logo, and social profiles, while Contact Page schema can describe business contact details.
Practical workflow and installation
Begin by installing and activating the All In One Schema Rich Snippets plugin on your WordPress website. Then upgrade to Schema Pro when you need the advanced schema types and options described above. Choose the schema that matches the page or site information, enter the relevant details, and review the resulting markup as part of your publishing workflow.
Use Article or Book schema for editorial content, Product or Service schema for commercial pages, Event or Course schema for scheduled or educational offerings, and Local Business or Organization schema for business information. Custom Markup Schema is available when a predefined option is not the right fit.
