Build a complete front-end user management experience
Profile Builder PRO is an all-in-one WordPress user profile and registration solution for websites that need more control over sign-up, login, profile editing, and access management. It provides front-end forms with custom fields and tools for managing users without relying only on the default WordPress screens.
The plugin is suited to online communities, associations, courses, news and resource websites, business directories, job boards, consultancy services, private websites, and members-only stores. You can create registration, login, edit profile, logout, and password recovery forms, then place them on your website with plugin blocks or the available shortcodes.
Forms, fields, and profiles
Profile Builder PRO adds extra user field types for building detailed registration and profile forms. Available fields include hidden inputs, agreement checkboxes, WYSIWYG editors, upload fields, international telephone inputs, user role and country selectors, timezone selectors, maps, HTML, phone, date and time pickers, color pickers, custom validation, currency selectors, custom post type selectors, and taxonomy selectors.
Conditional fields can show relevant inputs based on a user’s selections. AJAX form processing supports the form workflow, while repeater fields let you add repeatable fields or groups of fields to a profile. You can also create multiple registration forms with different profile fields for particular user roles and multiple edit profile forms for different purposes.
Directories, access, and administration
Create fully customizable front-end user listings and member directories with sorting. Multiple user listings can support different directories or audiences. The plugin can also create a map of user locations and add progress bars to registration and edit profile forms.
For access control, content can be restricted according to user role or logged-in status. The tools can be used to restrict a WooCommerce shop page, products, or an entire private website. The built-in role editor helps manage user roles and capabilities. Admin approval allows new users to be approved from the dashboard or through email.
Additional integrations and add-ons
Profile Builder PRO includes access to premium support and documentation, as well as the premium add-on collection described in the source. Add-ons can extend the forms with fields in columns, WooCommerce synchronization for shipping and billing fields, social login through Facebook, Google, Twitter(X), or LinkedIn, and multi-step registration or edit profile forms.
Other listed integrations and extensions include MailPoet subscriptions, bbPress, and BuddyPress profile fields. The plugin also supports email confirmation, email customization, username or email login choices, password requirements, invisible reCAPTCHA, GDPR consent collection, customizable form designs, and content restriction tools.
Installation and setup
Install Profile Builder PRO through the WordPress plugin administration area, then activate it and configure the required profile fields, forms, roles, and access rules. Add registration, login, edit profile, logout, or password recovery forms using the available blocks or shortcodes such as [wppb-register], [wppb-login], and [wppb-edit-profile].
After placing the forms on suitable pages, configure the fields and conditional rules for each audience. If you operate a directory, create the required user listings and sorting options. For a private site or members-only WooCommerce store, apply restrictions based on the relevant user roles or login status. The plugin’s front-end fields are also visible in the WordPress back end.
