Personalize WooCommerce products
PPOM PRO, the paid version of PPOM – Product Addons & Custom Fields for WooCommerce, helps store owners create products with configurable options and customer-supplied details. Add tailored fields directly to product pages so shoppers can enter personalization, choose options, upload files, select colors, provide dates, and supply other information required to complete an order.
The plugin is designed for stores selling products that need customer input, such as printed goods, customized gifts, products with selectable finishes, and items requiring files or detailed instructions. Fields can be applied to individual products, product categories, or products using product tags.
Advanced input types
PPOM PRO includes the standard field types available in PPOM, including text, textarea, select, radio, checkbox, date, email, number, and hidden fields. The PRO input collection adds more specialized ways to collect and organize information:
- File Upload: Accept customer files with configurable file types and size limits, plus a progress bar and thumbnail display.
- Color tools: Offer predefined color palettes or let customers choose colors and save a Hex value.
- Date and time tools: Provide date ranges and timezone selection from a predefined list.
- Quantity and variation tools: Support bulk quantities, variation matrices, and different quantities for options.
- Presentation inputs: Use collapse inputs, dividers, fonts, emojis, conditional images, and chained inputs to organize the product interface.
- Specialized fields: Add domain availability checks, fixed-price inputs, and text counters that restrict words or characters.
Pricing, logic, and validation
Use dynamic pricing so selected options can affect the product price. PPOM PRO supports taxable option prices and weight assigned to options. More conditional-logic operators are available for text and numeric fields, including contains, regular expressions, between, multiples, less than, greater than, odd, and even conditions.
Instant validation checks required fields in real time without reloading the page. Minimum and maximum lengths, input masking, tooltips, field widths, CSS classes, and field visibility settings help control how information is collected and displayed. Fields can be visible to everyone, guests, or selected user roles.
Organize reusable product fields
Multiple meta groups can be assigned to one product, and PPOM Repeater can repeat groups of fields as needed. The Conditional Repeater can automatically repeat fields based on a quantity, such as creating multiple name fields when a customer orders several personalized items. Import and export tools are available from PPOM settings.
Additional workflow features include cart editing, fields displayed in a popup, and settings for whether grouped fields begin expanded or collapsed. Customers can modify their selections from the cart page when cart editing is enabled.
Store and currency workflows
PPOM PRO supports integration with WooCommerce Currency Switcher, WPML Currency Switcher, and a WooCommerce Wholesale plugin. It also supports WPML and Polylang for multilingual stores. Custom fields can be exported through compatibility with Advanced Order Export For WooCommerce in CSV, XLS, XML, and JSON formats.
Installation and setup
Install PPOM PRO in your WordPress and WooCommerce site, then create or configure custom field groups from the plugin settings. Assign fields to products, categories, or product tags, configure prices and rules, and review the product page before publishing. The fields then appear as part of the customer’s product selection workflow.
