Advanced order limits for WooCommerce
Order Minimum/Maximum Amount Limits for WooCommerce Pro gives store owners more control over the conditions an order must meet before checkout. It extends order-limit management with paid features for fees, user-level restrictions, and limits assigned to products, categories, or tags.
The plugin is designed for stores that need more than one general minimum or maximum. You can build rules around order total, quantity, weight, volume, and other supported amount types, then use Pro controls to adapt those rules to particular customers or products.
Charge fees when limits are not met
Pro lets you add fees when an order falls below a defined minimum or exceeds a defined maximum. This provides an alternative to simply blocking the order. For example, a store can allow a customer to buy below the minimum amount while applying an additional fee, or permit an order above the maximum with a corresponding charge.
- Add fees for orders below minimum amounts.
- Add fees when defined maximum amounts are exceeded.
- Allow selling below minimums with an extra fee.
- Allow maximum values to be exceeded with a custom fee.
- Define fees according to amount type, including sum, quantity, weight, or volume.
- Give each fee a suitable title based on its amount type.
Set restrictions for users and roles
The Pro edition supports minimum and maximum values at user level. Apply restrictions or increased limits to selected users, and choose whether to define a minimum, a maximum, or both. This is useful when different customers require different purchasing conditions.
Restriction priority can also be controlled. For example, a user-specific condition can be prioritized over a shipping restriction when both apply. These settings help organize different purchasing policies without relying on one rule for every customer.
Target products, categories, and tags
Create different minimum and maximum amounts for individual products, product categories, and product tags. This supports more targeted policies for selected merchandise, collections, or tagged groups. A store can therefore apply one set of conditions to a particular product and another to a wider category or tag.
Core order validation controls
The plugin supports concurrent conditions for order total, quantity, weight, volume, length, and other physical measurements. You can customize customer messages on cart and checkout pages, choose whether taxes, shipping, discounts, and fees are included in total calculations, and optionally restrict checkout when requirements are not fulfilled.
For maximum limits, the plugin can validate amounts when items are added to the cart or hide the add-to-cart button when a defined limit has been reached. It also provides compatibility-related options for Product Bundles, WooCommerce Subscriptions, and Currency Switcher for WooCommerce by WP Wham. User metas can be added to the REST API.
Installation and setup
Install the Pro plugin in the WordPress installation running WooCommerce, then configure the order conditions, customer messages, fees, and targeted restrictions that match your store’s purchasing rules. Test the resulting cart and checkout behavior before applying the settings to customers.
