Flexible audio playback for WordPress
HTML5 Audio Player PRO is a no-code WordPress audio player for podcasts, music tracks, audio previews, online courses, and radio streams. It builds on shortcode-based placement, letting you add players to posts, pages, widget areas, and template files. The plugin also supports the Gutenberg block, so a player can be selected directly from the block editor.
Pro is designed for projects that need more control over playlist presentation, episode discovery, playback behavior, and live audio. It supports responsive layouts and the audio formats and streaming options described for the plugin, including MP3, OGG, FLAC, and HLS live streams.
Premium playlist and player layouts
The Pro edition adds Narrow and Extensive playlist layouts with collapsible track descriptions and customized styling. It also unlocks seven premium player skins: Card 1, Card 2, Simple 1, Simple 2, Player 9, Player 10, and Player 11.
For simple placements, the Single Button Player provides a clean, single-action play button for inline audio samples. These layout choices let you present a full playlist, a compact track list, or a focused play control according to the page and content type.
Podcast discovery and navigation
Podcast playlists can include real-time frontend keyword search, allowing visitors to find specific episodes within playlist layers. Pro also adds configurable Load More buttons or numbered pagination, with custom per-page batch limits for larger episode collections.
Playback Speed Controls provide selectable rates from 0.5x through 2x. Forward and rewind skip buttons are available across the Narrow and Extensive playlist layouts. Additional navigation settings include custom skip intervals, start and end time offsets, and the option to disable pause locks.
Radio and live-stream tools
Multiple Radio Stations lets you provide a unified player interface for switching between radio stations or channels. Recently Played Track History can display live song timelines and titles fetched dynamically from Icecast or Shoutcast server metadata.
The Backup/Fallback Stream URL option supports automatic failover to a secondary audio stream. This can be useful when a project provides an alternative source for radio or live audio playback. The plugin also includes HLS live streaming support and status indicators such as “Connecting…”, “Buffering…”, and “Offline.”
Playback preferences
State Saving remembers a listener’s playback timeline and allows tracks to resume from where they last stopped. Pro also includes controls to enable or disable direct download options for tracks and episodes. The edition provides an ad-free experience, a dedicated support channel, priority bug fixes, and updates.
Installation
Install and activate the plugin in WordPress, then open the HTML5 Audio Player menu and add a new player. Configure the audio source, playlist, layout, or Pro controls, and copy the generated shortcode into a post, page, or widget. Alternatively, open the block editor, select the HTML5 Audio Player block, choose the player, and publish the page.
