Create flexible galleries in Gutenberg
Galleryberg Pro is a Gutenberg gallery block for building polished image galleries directly inside the WordPress block editor. It is suited to portfolios, product displays, travel photography, photography projects, and blog images. The block combines several layout choices, responsive controls, a built-in lightbox, caption settings, and image-level styling options in one editing workflow.
Choose from Tiles, Square, Masonry, Justified, and the Pro-only Mosaic layout. Tiles provides a clean grid with even spacing, Square creates uniform image shapes, Masonry offers a cascading arrangement, and Justified creates balanced rows with equal heights. Mosaic adds an artistic collage-style presentation when you want a more distinctive gallery structure.
Responsive layouts and presentation controls
Galleryberg Pro adapts galleries for mobile, tablet, and desktop screens. You can set different column counts for each device and adjust spacing and alignment to keep the presentation consistent across screen sizes. The block settings allow between one and eight columns, giving you control over how densely images are arranged.
Built-in GLightbox support lets visitors open images in a responsive lightbox. The lightbox includes smooth zoom and fade animations, keyboard navigation, touch and swipe support, image zoom with drag controls, and loop navigation. Pro also adds thumbnail navigation. If a lightbox is not suitable for a particular gallery, it can be disabled from the block settings.
Captions and image-level styling
Use captions to add context to individual images without overwhelming the design. Captions can appear below an image, as a full overlay, or as a bar overlay. You can choose whether captions are always visible, appear on hover, or hide on hover, then set alignment through the available controls.
Advanced image controls allow each image to be adjusted individually. Add borders and rounded corners, toggle cropping, select aspect ratio options, define custom image sizes, apply duotone filters, and set custom link destinations. Additional block controls cover spacing, padding, margins, border width, border color, border radius, separate image radius settings, and caption text and background colors.
Practical workflow
To create a gallery, install the plugin and add the Galleryberg Gallery block to a post or page. Use Upload or Media Library to add images, select a layout, and refine the block settings. Set columns for each device, adjust spacing, configure captions, and decide whether the lightbox should be enabled. The result can be tailored to a compact product grid, a portfolio, a travel collection, or a more editorial image presentation.
The plugin uses server-side rendering and is designed to load quickly across devices, including galleries with large images. Keyboard navigation supports accessibility and usability. Galleryberg states that it does not collect or store personal data; images, captions, and settings remain inside your WordPress site.
