Custom loading screens for WordPress
Flat Preloader Pro extends Flat Preloader with tools for creating a more tailored loading page. It is designed for sites that want to display visual loading feedback while visitors move between pages or open selected content.
The preloader can be shown on the home page, across all pages, or on a specific post. Specific-post targeting supports any post type, giving you control over where the loading experience is used. You can also enable the preloader immediately when a link is clicked.
Animation and appearance controls
The Pro edition includes “unlimited” CSS loading animations. This provides an alternative to relying only on the available animated icons when you want a CSS-based loading effect.
Flat Preloader also includes more than 110 icons. If the included choices do not suit your site, you can add a custom icon URL instead. A text label can be placed below the loading icon, allowing you to provide a simple message alongside the visual indicator.
Paid appearance controls cover the main parts of the loading screen:
- Change the background image.
- Choose a background color.
- Use a background gradient.
- Change the size of the text shown under the preloader.
- Change the color of the text shown under the preloader.
Timing and practical use
A delay time can be set for the loading screen. The loading icon fades out after the selected delay, creating a defined transition instead of leaving the loading indicator visible indefinitely.
These controls can be useful when a site needs different loading behavior for different areas. For example, you can apply the preloader broadly across the site, limit it to the home page, or assign it to a particular post or other post type. The option to show it when a link is clicked helps connect the loading screen directly to visitor navigation.
How the workflow fits together
Begin by choosing the locations where the loading page should appear. Select an included icon or provide a custom icon URL, then add optional text beneath it. Pro users can choose a CSS animation and define the background treatment. Finish by setting the text styling and delay time so the icon fades out according to the intended timing.
Installation
Install Flat Preloader Pro through the WordPress plugin installation workflow, then activate it from the Plugins area. Open its settings, select the display locations, configure the animation or icon, and save the loading-screen options.
