WordPress backups, migration, and cloud storage
Everest Backup Pro is a paid WordPress backup plugin for managing website backups, restoration, migration, and cloning from the WordPress Dashboard. It is designed for site owners who want to move a website to a new host, server, or domain, preserve backup files remotely, or create a repeatable backup workflow.
The plugin supports both manual and automatic backups. You can generate a backup when needed or select a date and time for scheduled automatic backups. Premium options provide more flexible scheduling and automatic retention settings for cloud storage, helping organize stored backup files as part of an ongoing maintenance routine.
Remote cloud backup management
Everest Backup Pro supports Google Drive and provides add-ons for Dropbox, OneDrive, AWS Amazon S3, pCloud, and Backblaze. After connecting a supported cloud service, backup files can be uploaded to remote storage and managed from the WordPress Dashboard. This includes downloading backup files from the cloud without logging in to the cloud service separately, as well as deleting cloud backup files from WordPress.
The plugin also includes an option to delete backup files from the local web server after a successful cloud upload. Automatic removal can be configured according to the selected number of days, while automatic retention settings help manage older files in cloud storage. Backup files can also receive a custom name tag for easier identification.
Migration, restoration, and rollback
Website migration is handled with a migration key workflow. Generate and copy the key from the source website, then paste it into the destination website to move the site with a single click. This supports moving, migrating, or cloning a WordPress website without treating the process as a manual copy-and-paste task.
Everest Backup Pro also provides one-click rollback from remote cloud storage. The plugin supports backup and restoration for WordPress Multisite installations, including backing up and restoring the entire multisite network. These capabilities can be useful when preparing for hosting changes, maintaining staging or copied sites, or keeping a recovery option available before site changes.
Automation and reporting
- Trigger a backup after a WooCommerce order.
- Trigger a backup before a WordPress, plugin, or theme update.
- Exclude unused images and media from backup files.
- Receive advanced email notifications and reports for backup status.
- Use multiple email recipients for reporting.
- Review human-readable logs and advanced reports about backup activity.
Human-readable logs are intended to make backup activity easier to follow without technical assistance. Advanced notices can report on the last automatic backup process and provide an automatic reporting workflow.
Installation and first setup
Install the Everest Backup Pro plugin in WordPress, activate it, and open its settings from the WordPress Dashboard. Connect the desired cloud service, select a backup location, and configure manual or scheduled backups. You can then review logs, manage stored files, set retention or removal preferences, and configure email notifications. For migration, create the key on the source site and enter it on the destination site.
