Present WordPress content in flexible layouts
Display Post Types Pro is a paid edition for creating more varied and customizable displays of WordPress posts, pages, and custom post types. It is designed for sites that need to showcase content in an organized visual format, whether that content is a blog archive, portfolio, news collection, resource library, or another custom post type.
The plugin works with the Display Post Types block and widget, giving you practical ways to place selected content throughout a site. Pro adds more layouts and customization options, including the ability to display custom fields and shortcodes within a content display.
Choose a display style
Present selected items as a post grid, post list, or post slider. Available layout approaches include grid, masonry, list, mini list, and overlay styles. This makes it possible to match the presentation to the content: use a grid for visual collections, a list for compact archives, or a slider for a more dynamic section.
Layout controls let you adjust columns and crop images. Slider settings include auto-slide functionality, allowing you to configure how featured items are presented. The layouts are responsive and mobile-friendly, so the display can adapt across different devices.
Control which content appears
Use the available filters to fetch the content you want to show. Select from posts, pages, or custom post types, then refine the selection with categories, tags, and custom taxonomies. Sorting options include date, title, author, comments, and random order.
Pagination helps organize larger result sets, while the offset option lets you exclude initial posts from a display. Together, these controls support practical arrangements such as skipping the newest items, creating a secondary content section, or showing a curated selection below another block.
Add richer content details
Display Post Types Pro can show custom fields and shortcodes in the display. This is useful when entries contain additional information beyond their standard title, image, excerpt, or link. The exact information shown depends on the content and fields available on your WordPress site.
When working in the block editor, the display block provides a live preview of changes. You can adjust content, filtering, sorting, and styling options while preparing the layout, then publish or update the page when the presentation is ready.
Use the block or widget
The widget places a display in an available widget area, such as a sidebar. The block places a display directly inside a post or page. Both approaches provide options for selecting the post type and configuring filters, sorting, and styling.
