Responsive YouTube galleries for WordPress
YotuWP Pro is a paid edition of the YotuWP video gallery plugin for embedding YouTube content on WordPress websites. It is designed for displaying videos from playlists, channels, usernames, lists of video IDs, or a single video URL. The gallery is responsive and can be used to present video content in a structured, visual format on pages and posts.
The Pro edition extends the available gallery presentation choices with additional layouts, player arrangements, content replacement options, metadata, hover icons, and styling controls. These capabilities are useful for websites that want a more distinctive video section, a stronger browsing experience, or more control over how YouTube content appears alongside the rest of the site.
Flexible gallery layouts
Choose from several paid layout options to match the role of the gallery. Carousel Layout presents videos in a carousel-style arrangement, while Masonry Layout supports an offset visual presentation. Big Player Left and Big Player Right layouts position the main player beside the video items. Flip Layout adds more than 40 effects for a more animated presentation.
These options can support different practical uses, such as a featured video area, a channel showcase, a playlist archive, or a media page with multiple browsing styles. The layout selection helps you decide whether the page should emphasize one large video, a collection of thumbnails, or a more interactive visual display.
Custom content and visual controls
YotuWP Pro lets you replace a video title, description, and thumbnail with your own information and image. This can help you adapt imported YouTube content to a site’s editorial structure or create a consistent presentation across a curated collection.
The paid edition also provides multiple video thumbnail styling options, 12 or more hover icons, and custom text for the Next, Prev, and Load more buttons. Color styling is available for titles, descriptions, and metadata. The gallery can show video data including views, likes, comments, and published date, giving visitors additional context while they browse.
Player and shortcode workflow
YotuWP includes a shortcode generator for use with page builders, widgets, product descriptions, and WordPress pages or posts. The generator provides a practical way to prepare a gallery configuration and insert it where the content is needed.
The plugin supports a large player and a popup, modal, or lightbox player. In popup mode, a visitor can select a thumbnail or title to open the video in the overlay player. Pagination and load more buttons help organize larger video collections.
Installation and setup
Install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen or upload its files to the /wp-content/plugins/yotuwp directory. Activate it from the Plugins screen, then open the YotuWP menu to set default layout and player values and enter a YouTube API key. Edit a page, post, or custom post and use the YotuWP button to generate and insert a shortcode with the embed wizard.
For a popup player, open YotuWP > General > Player > Player Mode, select Popup, and save the settings. Player width can also be configured from the player settings.
