Manage access to WordPress content
Secure Copy Content Protection Pro is the professional edition of Secure Copy Content Protection and Content Locking. It is designed for sites that want to control how visitors interact with published content and restrict access to selected material. The plugin includes the features of the free version and adds controls for IP addresses, countries, user roles, post types, REST API access, paid content, and image watermarks.
The basic protection tools can disable right-click and left-click actions, content selection, drag and drop, and common copy and save shortcuts. Additional keyboard shortcuts that can be disabled include F3, F6, F9, F12, CTRL+C, CTRL+V, CTRL+X, CTRL+S, CTRL+A, CTRL+U, CTRL+F, CTRL+P, CTRL+H, CTRL+L, CTRL+K, CTRL+O, and ALT+D. The plugin can also disable developer tools and inspect elements.
Pro access and protection controls
Block by IP allows IP address blocking, while Block by Country provides geo-blocking. The Pro feature list also includes a front/back blocker and REST API protection. These settings give administrators additional ways to define which visitors or access routes can interact with site content.
Protection can be applied according to user roles, posts, or post types. This can help separate public material from content intended for selected audiences or specific areas of a WordPress site. The available settings can be combined with content-locking tools when a page needs both interaction restrictions and controlled visibility.
Content locking and paid access
The plugin includes a password-based content locker. You can create multiple shortcodes, assign a password to each one, and place the protected material between the shortcode parts in a post or page. A shortcode can also be configured so a selected user role can view the content without entering the password.
Content can be scheduled to appear for a certain period and then disappear. The content-locking workflow includes counts showing how many users entered a password and how many times content was viewed by a selected user role. For monetized access, the Pro edition includes paid content through a PayPal paywall.
Additional site tools
- Add notification text and adjust style settings for protected content.
- Use subscription-based content access and Mailchimp integration.
- Export results in CSV, XLSX, or JSON formats.
- Apply watermarks to images.
- Use protection on both PC and mobile devices.
The plugin is suited to publishers, membership-style websites, and site owners who need to combine copy restrictions with password access, subscriptions, role-based visibility, geo-blocking, or paid content. Its settings can be selected according to the type of content and access workflow required.
Installation and setup
Download and install the plugin from the WordPress dashboard. After activation, open its settings and choose the protection options required for the site. You can enable copy and shortcut restrictions, configure notification text and styles, and select the relevant post types or content areas.
For locked content, create a shortcode, set its password or permitted user role, and place the shortcode around the material in a post or page. If using scheduled access, define the available period. For advanced requirements, configure IP or country blocking, REST API protection, role rules, the PayPal paywall, or image watermarking before publishing the protected content.
