Flexible access control for WordPress
Restrict Premium helps you control who can see content across a WordPress website. It can protect posts, pages, custom post types, categories, widgets, menu items, Gutenberg blocks, and selected site areas according to the conditions you define. This makes it useful for membership sites, ticket-based content, customer areas, campaign landing pages, and websites that need different visitors to see different information.
Access rules can be based on everyone, logged-in users, specific user roles, or particular capabilities. You can also target the author of a post or page, visitors arriving with a specified URL parameter, visitors referred from a specific website, or visitors with a specific cookie. These options support both straightforward member restrictions and more targeted content-display workflows.
Premium content and layout controls
The Premium edition can set default visibility for an entire post type at once. You can also restrict part or all of an individual post or page with shortcodes, allowing one page to provide different content according to the visitor’s criteria.
For block-based editing, every Gutenberg block receives a Restrict panel. A dedicated Restricted Content container block can protect groups of blocks and include an optional custom message. Premium also supports restricting complete post categories, so category visibility can follow defined access conditions rather than being managed item by item.
Conditional site elements
Widgets can be shown or hidden for different users. Menu items can likewise be displayed or hidden for logged-in users, selected roles, users with a specific capability, or logged-out visitors. A login form can be placed on pages or posts whether the site uses the Gutenberg editor or the Classic Editor.
Purchase and service integrations
Restrict Premium integrates with Tickera, Venuera, WooCommerce, and Easy Digital Downloads. Depending on the connected service, you can show content to users who made any purchase, bought a specific product, purchased a ticket, bought a ticket for a particular event, or selected a specific ticket type. WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads can also support limited-time access after the purchase of a specified product.
Integration with Simple URLs allows a redirect to be protected by Restrict criteria. If a visitor does not meet the requirements, you can choose to display a specific page or send the visitor to another URL.
Site-wide options
Site Lock can make the entire website accessible only to logged-in users. Restrict Premium can also limit REST API access to logged-in users. A white label option is included for sites that need a less branded administration experience.
Installation and setup
Install Restrict Premium in WordPress, then configure visibility rules for the content or site elements you want to control. Choose the audience or integration-based condition, decide whether the item should be shown or hidden, and add an optional restricted-content message where available. The plugin documentation provides guidance for content restrictions, WooCommerce integration, Simple URLs, and related settings.
