Extend Contact Form 7 submission workflows
Redirection for CF7 PRO adds a broader set of submission actions to Contact Form 7. It is designed for websites that need more than a basic confirmation after a form is submitted, combining redirects, database storage, notifications, privacy-related requests, and connections to external services in one workflow.
After installing the plugin, form actions are managed from the form settings. Open the Action tab and add the submission actions required for each form. This makes it possible to create different workflows for contact forms, inquiries, registrations, support requests, or other submission types.
Core submission actions
- Redirect visitors: Send users to any page or URL after submission, open the destination in a new tab, and pass submitted fields as URL query parameters.
- Store entries: Save form submissions in the WordPress database for later reference.
- Reduce spam: Add honeypot protection without requiring visitors to complete an additional challenge.
- Support data requests: Create requests for exporting or erasing personal data to help with GDPR-related workflows.
PRO tools for advanced workflows
The PRO edition adds conditional logic for submission actions. You can create If/Or rules based on user input, allowing a form to follow different paths according to the information submitted.
It also supports JavaScript execution after a successful submission. This can be used for conversion tracking and analytics-related tasks. Webhook integration connects forms with third-party applications through POST, GET, DELETE, and PATCH methods, with support for PARAMS, JSON, and XML formats.
Submitted form fields can be used to create and send PDFs. Frontend publishing allows users to publish posts from the website front end, providing an option for visitor-submitted content workflows. A thank-you popup can also be displayed after submission.
Connected services
Redirection for CF7 PRO can register submitted forms with Mailchimp lists, redirect users to PayPal or Stripe for payments, and send submissions to HubSpot CRM or Salesforce CRM. Twilio integration supports SMS messages to users or notifications to your team. These connections can help organize marketing follow-up, payment-related actions, customer records, and messaging from one form-based process.
Practical use cases
- Send donors to personalized thank-you pages using conditional rules.
- Direct real estate inquiries to pages related to submitted information.
- Connect support forms with HubSpot or Salesforce for follow-up management.
- Generate PDFs from submitted details for internal or customer-facing records.
- Use frontend publishing for education, community, or user-submitted content workflows.
