Plan WordPress content in one workspace
PublishPress Planner Pro is a paid WordPress content planning plugin for sites that publish and promote content. It brings editorial and marketing planning tools into WordPress, helping you organize planned, scheduled, and published content without relying on a separate planning service.
The Pro edition combines a Content Calendar, Content Overview, Content Board, configurable notifications, Slack notifications, and reminder notifications. Together, these tools support content teams that need to see upcoming work, organize posts by status, and keep contributors informed about important changes.
See the publishing schedule
The Content Calendar provides a visual overview of your publishing schedule. You can see when content is planned and when it was published, then drag and drop content to a different publication date. The calendar can be filtered by post status, categories, users, or post types, making it easier to focus on a particular part of your schedule.
Use the calendar as an editorial calendar for planned articles or as a marketing calendar for content that needs promotion. The default view shows WordPress content planned for the next few weeks, while filters help you narrow the display when you need a more specific view.
Organize content by status and responsibility
Content Overview complements the calendar by organizing content according to status, categories, or users. You can choose WordPress data to display in columns, giving your team a practical way to review planned work. A Print button provides a printable overview of your content plan.
The Content Board presents your content in a kanban layout, with a column for each status. Drag and drop posts between statuses such as Draft, Pending Review, Published, and Scheduled. This gives editors and contributors a direct way to update the progress of content as it moves through the workflow.
Keep teams informed
PublishPress Planner Pro includes notification workflows for important content changes. Users can subscribe to notifications for individual posts or through user groups. Workflows can be based on post types, categories, status changes, and other content conditions.
Slack integration sends notifications directly to a Slack channel. Recipients can also reply without logging into WordPress. Reminder notifications can be sent before or after a content item’s publication date. For example, an editor can receive a pre-publication reminder to proofread a post, while team members can receive a later reminder to promote published content on social media.
Installation and workflow
Install PublishPress Planner Pro in WordPress, then use its calendar, overview, and board screens to structure your content workflow. Configure notification, Slack, and reminder settings around the way your team plans, reviews, publishes, and promotes content.
