Build page sections in the WordPress Customizer
Organic Builder Widgets Pro extends the Organic Builder Widgets page-building approach with additional widgets and more control over existing widget sections. Instead of working through a separate page-builder interface, you arrange widgets in the familiar WordPress Customizer and see changes update in real time.
The plugin uses the “Organic Custom” page template to create a widget area for a page. You can drag and drop widgets into the order you want, then use the Customizer to shape the page as a sequence of full-width content sections. Widgets can inherit styles from the active theme while providing their own settings for backgrounds, display styles, and other presentation details.
Expanded Pro widgets
The Pro edition adds 12 additional widgets for practical business, publishing, and content-focused layouts. Use an Event Widget to display upcoming events, or add a Business Info Widget with business hours, location, map, social links, and contact information.
- Image Slideshow Widget: present images with optional slide content and links.
- Split Content Widget: combine a featured image and title with content, with an option to flip the tile arrangement.
- Toggle & Tabs Widget: create expandable or tabbed sections for FAQs, features, and documentation.
- Advanced Search Widget: add a search section and choose specific custom post types to search.
- Food & Drink Menu Widget: create food and drink menus for restaurant and cafe pages.
- Client Login Widget: place a login form on a page for membership or client-focused sites.
The source also identifies additional Pro widgets as part of the expanded collection, including tools for creating richer content sections alongside the existing builder widgets.
More control over existing layouts
Pro adds options for changing fonts, layouts, custom heights, and custom widths. These controls help you adapt sections to different page structures, from prominent hero areas to compact information blocks. You can also add filterable portfolios and blog pagination, giving content-heavy pages more ways to organize and present posts.
The broader widget collection supports hero sections with background images or videos, blog posts, content slideshows, feature lists, portfolios, subpages, team members, pricing tables, products, and featured content. You can use multiple copies of the same widget or combine different widgets on one page.
Customizer and Gutenberg workflow
Organic Builder Widgets includes the Widget Area Block for the Gutenberg editor. This block lets you register multiple widget areas within a page or post, allowing traditional widgets and Gutenberg blocks to work together. The result is a flexible workflow for combining block content with Customizer-managed sections.
Installation
Install the Pro plugin in your WordPress site, then apply the Organic Custom page template to a page. Open the WordPress Customizer, add the available widgets to the page’s widget area, and drag them into your preferred order. Configure each section’s content, background, layout, and Pro options, then use the live preview to review the result.
