Advanced search for WordPress
Ivory Search Premium extends WordPress search with customizable search forms and advanced ways to find site content. You can create an unlimited number of forms, configure each one separately, and display them in locations such as a header, footer, sidebar, widget area, navigation menu, page, post, or custom post type using shortcodes.
The plugin can search posts, pages, WooCommerce products, images, files, attachments, and other custom post types. Its inverted index-based search engine is designed for faster search, while AJAX search can show results as visitors enter a query. Search forms can also be customized with the WordPress customizer, including form colors, text, and available styles.
Targeted search controls
Ivory Search Premium lets you configure what each form searches. Search can include post titles, content, excerpts, categories, taxonomy terms and descriptions, custom fields, metadata, and WooCommerce product SKUs. Premium search options include WooCommerce product variations, posts created by specific authors, author display names, post statuses, comment counts, approved comment content, and posts created within a specific date.
You can also search specific files, MIME types, and media attachments such as images, audio, video, PDFs, and documents. Forms may be configured to search password-protected posts, posts without passwords, or both. Specific content can be excluded from results, and searches can be limited to selected post types or taxonomy terms.
Search quality and integrations
Premium features include keyword stemming, which searches for the base word of a term, and fuzzy matching that can find whole search terms or words beginning or ending with the searched term. These options can help visitors locate relevant content when their query does not exactly match the wording on a page.
Ivory Search integrates with WooCommerce and supports multilingual search through integrations including Weglot, Polylang, and WPML. It also integrates with bbPress and TablePress, including indexing and searching TablePress shortcode contents. Search analytics can track searches made on the site.
