Interactive video playback for WordPress
FluentPlayer Pro is a WordPress video and audio player for websites that need more than a basic embedded file. It supports playback alongside interactive content, allowing video owners to combine media with forms, calls to action, timed content, and lead capture experiences.
The player works within the Fluent ecosystem, including Fluent Forms and FluentCRM. A viewer can complete an in-video form or provide contact information without leaving the player. Fluent Forms can also use payment fields, making it possible to present a course purchase, webinar registration, or other paid registration inside the video experience.
Pro features for engagement and measurement
FluentPlayer Pro provides video analytics for understanding how audiences watch content. The analytics include views, unique viewers, average watch time, completion rate, audience retention, and device and location breakdowns. The retention graph helps identify the points where viewers stop watching.
Interactive layers can appear at selected moments in a video. Pro adds CTA banners, hotspots, ad layers, and shortcode layers, with conditional rules for controlling when layers display. You can show a layer after a viewer reaches a timestamp and hide it after a selected duration, keeping prompts connected to the content being watched.
Timed Content can display a WordPress block region below the player that changes as the video plays. You can assign content to a time range and use a WordPress block such as a Fluent Forms form, button, or text block within that timed area.
Playback, sources, and presentation
Pro supports BunnyCDN Stream, BunnyCDN Storage, Mux, external URLs, and HLS streaming, in addition to self-hosted video, YouTube, Vimeo, and audio playback. You can organize videos into playlists with standard or grid layouts and customize their colors, borders, typography, and box shadows. Media tagging helps organize a growing video library.
Presentation controls include customizable player presets, custom subtitles, YouTube subtitle import, text and button overlays, and Remember Playback Position for resuming a longer video where a viewer left off. The player also supports custom branding, poster images, title overlays, speed control, chapters, aspect ratio settings, language switching, and HTML5 floating Picture-in-Picture.
FluentPlayer provides a native Gutenberg block and generates shortcodes for the classic editor and page builders. Its Load Strategy setting controls when the player script loads, which can help defer videos below the fold. AJAX compatibility is also included.
