Display more YouTube content on your website
Feeds for YouTube Pro extends the YouTube feed experience in WordPress with additional feed types and display options. It is designed for websites that want to present channel content in more flexible and interactive ways, from live streaming videos and carousel galleries to searchable results and combined feeds.
The plugin uses the YouTube API to retrieve and display videos rather than loading a low-performing video iframe when the page loads. Video players are added after a visitor interacts with the feed, helping keep the initial presentation focused and lightweight.
Pro capabilities
- YouTube Live API integration: Show live streaming videos on your website.
- Carousel galleries: Present a YouTube gallery in a carousel slider.
- Keyword filtering: Filter videos using keywords found in titles or descriptions.
- Search results: Use the search endpoint to display videos from a search result.
- Combined feeds: Bring multiple feeds together in one display.
- Video completion actions: Configure actions after a video completes, such as showing a product-page link or thumbnails of other videos.
- Custom post type data: Download video data into a custom post type so visitors can browse and view videos on your website.
Flexible feed presentation
Feeds for YouTube supports customizable channel feeds that can inherit your theme’s styles. Depending on the selected display, content can appear in a list, gallery, grid, or carousel. Responsive and mobile-optimized presentation helps the feed adapt across screen sizes, while multiple feeds can be placed on different pages or widgets.
The built-in header gives each feed a clear starting point, and the Load More button lets visitors continue loading videos. You can also add custom CSS or JavaScript when the standard customization options do not provide the level of control you need.
Practical uses
Use Pro to feature live broadcasts, organize videos from several channels, or create a more focused content area based on title and description keywords. Search results can help visitors locate relevant videos, while custom post type data provides another way to browse and view video content within your website.
For organizations promoting products or services, video completion actions can connect the end of a video with a product-page link. For content publishers, combined feeds and carousel displays can make a larger collection of channel content easier to explore.
Getting started
- Install the Feeds for YouTube plugin and select Add New.
