Bulk content management for WordPress
Bulk Delete PRO is a paid edition of Bulk Delete for removing WordPress content in groups instead of handling items individually. It supports condition-based deletion for posts, pages, users, attachments, revisions, and meta fields. Rules can be narrowed with filters such as dates, visibility, user details, content, titles, taxonomies, and other attributes.
The plugin is suited to site maintenance, content cleanup, test-site preparation, archive management, and removing groups of records that match a defined condition. Depending on the selected operation, content can be deleted permanently or moved to the trash.
Post deletion options
Bulk Delete PRO adds several ways to identify posts for removal. You can target posts by custom field, title, duplicate title, content, category, tag, custom taxonomy, custom post type, comment count, URL, author-related criteria, or whether they contain an attachment. It also supports groups such as drafts, pending posts, private posts, scheduled posts, and posts already in the trash.
Post rules can use date filters for posts older or newer than a chosen number of days. You can limit operations to public or private posts, restrict the action to the first number of matching posts, and choose whether matching items are permanently deleted or moved to the trash. Scheduled post deletion is also available in the PRO edition.
Pages, users, and other records
For pages, the plugin can process published, draft, pending, private, scheduled, or trashed pages. The same date, visibility, quantity, and deletion-method filters are available for the supported page operations, including automatic scheduling in PRO.
- Users: delete users by role, user meta fields, last login period, or registration date.
- Revisions: delete all post revisions.
- Attachments: delete attachments with the PRO edition.
- Meta fields: remove post, comment, or user meta fields.
- Other plugin content: delete Jetpack Contact Form Messages.
Practical workflow
Begin by selecting the content type and deletion condition that matches your maintenance task. Add available filters to narrow the result set, such as a date range, visibility status, user relationship, or maximum number of records. For posts, PRO also supports content-based, title-based, duplicate-title, custom-field, and attachment-related rules.
Before confirming an operation, decide whether matching items should go to the trash or be removed permanently. For recurring cleanup, use the scheduling option where it is available. A carefully limited rule can help separate a specific group from the rest of the site.
Installation
Install Bulk Delete in WordPress and activate the plugin. Open its administration options, select the relevant deletion section, configure the conditions and filters, and choose the available deletion method or schedule. If a very large number of posts causes a blank page, the source notes that an underpowered server may be the reason.
Bulk Delete PRO is supported by email, while the free version uses the forums for support.
